Pretty Girl (The Way) - Sugarcult. Great song, great band.
Lamb Of Gods new album comes out 2 days after soundwave... They'll no doubt be playing some new stuff.
Anyone know when Mastodons album comes out?

i've gone into a really retrospective patch with regard to music. i'm really digging old beatles, joy division, stones, sabbath. hell, i'm even enjoying some old sex pistols for some reason (they did actually have a few decent songs... silly thing, holiday in the sun, etc).
i also just bought some old propellerheads cd yesterday. it's effin awesome. modern music sux. does this make me an old man?

Try - Through Fire And Flames - DragonForce :P :D :D :P
And in a more serious way, maybe you'd like some Isis. You could also go classic thrash stuff - Slayer, Metallica, Bullet For My Valentine, some Trivium, Testament, etc.

Afro will hate you for that. :p Probably Cowboys From Hell. Maybe Cemetary Gates. Both are good and worth a listen.

You could also try some Machine Head Avy. Their vocals are less of a growl/scream, and more of a raw yell kind of thing. Worth checking out. Iron Maiden are also good for heavy-ish music, with clean vocals. Local band Cog are good, also try some System of A Down, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Lacuna Coil.

Disturbed last album seemed a waste of time so I didn't bother with it. Sickness was good.
I wonder if any of you have heard the band "Ra"? They're pretty cool.

Does anyone listen to the band Pendulum? Been hearing positive reviews of their BDO performances, and saw them covering Master of Puppets on V's BDO live show yesterday, sounded pretty cool.

Hadn't heard of them before I saw them... They weren't bad, but they certainly had the crowd going like nothing else that day. MASSIVE mosh. Went beyond the barriers. People bouncing the whole time. Was great to watch, though I'm not sure how much I like their music.
This is Ra Avy, they kinda what you said you liked.
