While their latest record Sharing Space is working hard for them in Europe and the UK, gaining rave reviews from music press and fans alike, the Cog boys have been busily putting the finishing touches on their national Between Oceans Tour May / June 2009.

Cog’s powerful live shows have been wowing fans for the past few years, earning them spots on the country’s biggest festivals, including the recent Big Day Out Tour, and leaving a trail of sold out venues in their wake. The Between Oceans Tour will be the band’s last round before they take time out to pull together material for their third LP.

Cog are thrilled to announce Manchester’s kings of post-metal, Oceansize will make their maiden voyage to Australia to join them for this run.

When Oceansize christened themselves back at the start of the third millennium, they didn’t just pick a name, they set themselves a challenge. Their mission statement was to make the biggest music possible, adventures on the high seas of future-rock giganticism that could never, ever stop.

The band’s third LP, ‘Frames’ glows with bone-crushing experimentation; mixing ultimate warrior wrestling music with beautiful classical flourishes. Oceansize always weave magic out of unfamiliar time signatures, on their latest LP, they have so many of them going on at the same time that they say the album is, at times, “the sound of a band ignoring itself.” Evidenced on the lurching ‘Savant’, the ravenous ‘Only Twin’ and the climactic ‘The Frame’, every single player goes on their own journey, making up a deeply intricate whole.

Wait and Bleed by Slipknot

I'm going to see them this year (if they come back). Missed out last time.

Only really listened to one of their albums, The Black and White Album I think it was. It was alright, Bat Country was the best song on there.

He also told me that Suicide Silence will be touring.

They don't have an album called "The Black and White Album":p. Bat Country was off of "City of Evil". Suicide Silence are alright, were entertaining enough with parkway, but I wouldn't pay for em.

Well the Hives have an album called The Black and White Album. As for A7X, their last album was a black skull on a white background, but that's about it:p

Yeah, their guitarist is pretty good..."Synyster Gates" or whatever he calls himself.
Put Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl, Josh Freese, Maynard Keenand and him into a supergroup and every song would be an Aural Orgasm.

Dave Grohl can play bass. So can Trent.
And you have Dailor confused with Lombardo.
Freese>>>Dailor>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lombardo>>>>Jordison>>>>>>>>>>Every other metal drummer.

See.
