Meh. It's still more news than anytime recent about the band. I'll take it. Soundwave 2011 FTW.

I meant more on the european circuit so they're an outside chance of coming here early next year. Probably bands doing stuff like sonisphere or Wacken this year.
Wouldn't mind Seether and Drowning Pool there. Or FFDP.

Ready For The Weekend - Calvin Harris
I've been into some more dancey tracks lately. Sort of like the above, Memories by Kid Cudi, Shooting Stars by Bag Raiders, Steve Aoki stuff. :-k

I've been listening to them too.
None of them are particular bad as artists. Hardly mainstream crap. JJJ play them all the time. Playing Flashback and Memories lots myself lately. Mainly because it reminds me of celebrating the Sydney win in Melbourne, but I don't mind the songs either. :P

70's - Rocky Horror Picture Show theme? 80's - We didn't start the fire - Billy Joel?
Why is your recent taste in music ok and your pre afromanGT taste so weak? Why does the doctor have good taste in older music and Heinekin doesnt when they both are approx same age / city (to my understanding)?
due to having a cool alternative/indie older sister who introduced me to a number of bands, such as Radiohead, The Church, PJ Harvey, Midnight Oil, Nick Cave, MGF and several others hearing what she played before i went to school and borrowing her albums cause she bought shitloads of them... also i have got alot more from her older boyfriend, she's 22 he's 31 and fucking awesome, he comes to heaps of concerts with me and his bro, i get heaps of albums off him, he was the one that got me into the likes of Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Neil Young, Elvis Costello, Porcupine Tree, The Smashing Pumpkins... then alot of the older stuff is through movies, for example i watched 24 Hour Party People with Steve Coogan which covered the Manchester music scene from the Sex Pistols to the emergence of the DJ in the late 80's early 90's... where i hear one Joy Division song, where then i go do research and listen to some of there stuff and really get into them, then follows up with bands that take after Joy Division or where around the same time... Stone Roses from Green Street Hooligans same deal, alot of Australian stuff off Triple J, the Secret Life of Us & He Died With a Felafel In His Hand soundtracks and everything else is really what iv seen or heard late night rage on a friday night during years 10, 11 and 12 at school like My Brightest Diamond, Muse and Midnight Juggernauts... and in more recent times the Skins Soundtracks have been a small influence.... and that Heinekein just listens to alot of shit and needs to get himself an education  Edited by The Doctor: 4/4/2010 06:52:07 PM

Should probably clarify that there's nothing wrong with the rocky horror theme - that's an awesome song. And Billy Joel was the first thing that popped into my head.
In hindsight I'd probably have nominated something off Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning instead of Billy Joel.

I remember waiting eagerly for that to come out. Pobably my favourite cd of all time. Speaking of Muse, did anyone else catch their April Fools prank? They totally got a friend of mine with it, i was thinking wtf for a minute then i remembered the date and checked the info on the songs in itunes and the composer was "Sofia Proll", anagram of April Fools, and it clicked.
