Drummer of the North - Grand Magus Gaia Bleeds - Set Your Goals Revolution, Baby - Sonic Syndicate
To top it off, they're playing new BFMV. :d

The amount of times I've heard you say you can't afford something, I'd suggest its time you consider getting a job... ;)

I dunno if it's intentional...most likely, but do you think this song has a 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' feel to it?
Maybe it's just me. That's an awesome song! and a pretty cool clip too.

When I first seen a band sticker on pole in the main street here with the name on it, it was so trippy. Nico wrote:Bit steep... Where's it at? If its Cap I'm almost definitely not going... Yeah, Calling All Carts weren't bad at ACDC. The only thing was they tried to get the crowd involved. It failed dismally.

Quote:Ringo Starr Turns 70 by Paul Cashmere - July 9 2010 Ringo Starr, known to the older generation as the drummer for The Beatles and to the younger generation as Thomas from Thomas and the Tank Engine, has turned 70 years old. Ringo was the oldest Beatle. John Lennon would have been 70 in October. Paul McCartney turned 68 this year and George Harrison would have been 67. The Beatles drummer spent his 70th in New York City, the same city where he said he had his most magic moment back in 1964. Ringo was the last Beatle to join the band. Original drummer Pete Best was fired after the release of the band’s debut single ‘Love Me Do’ and before the first album ‘Please Please Me’. On the single, Best plays drums but was replaced with Ringo by producer George Martin for the album version. As a singer (and it was never his finest moment), he sang lead on Beatles songs ‘Yellow Submarine’, ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’, Octopus’s Garden’, ‘Act Naturally’, ‘Don’t Pass Me By’ and ‘What Goes On’. He came into his own with his solo records, especially the ‘Ringo’ album in 1972 featuring appearances from all other Beatles, John, Paul and George and the hit song ‘Photograph’ he wrote with George. His solo hits includes ‘It Don’t Come Easy’, ‘Back Off Boogaloo’, ‘You’re Sixteen’ and ‘”Oh My My’. This year he released ‘Y Not’, his 15th studio album. Happy birthday Ringo. Peace and Love! http://undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=11297

My favorite Beatle. I always felt sorry for him, not being as good as the others. And because I liked the Movie Help!

Quote:Pat Benatar, Bangles Perth concert FOUR-time Grammy Award winning rocker PAT BENATAR is confirmed to tour Australia in October with 80s all-female band THE BANGLES. Tickets go on sale on Monday 19 July. More than three decades ago, PAT BENATAR began breaking rules and blazed a new trial for female rock stars. Songs such as “Love Is a Battlefield,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “We Live For Love,” and “Heartbreaker” became anthems for a new attitude. At the dawn of MTV, BENATAR was the image of the female rocker for an entire generation of young woman, and the young men who loved them. That generation has grown up with her and others have walked down the path she helped pave. Still going strong, BENATAR has been married for 28 years to guitarist, songwriter producer, collaborator and soul mate Neil Giraldo. The parents of two daughters, Pat and Neil have been touring almost non-stop for over three decades. BENATAR is acknowledged as the leading female rock vocalist of the ‘80s. During this time she was nominated nine times for Grammy Awards for Best Rock Vocal Performance (female), winning an unprecedented four Grammy Awards in consecutive years from 1980 to 1983. BENATAR has also won three American Music Awards. Of the sixteen original and compilation albums released during her 30+ year career, seven were certified platinum and three were certified gold. One of the most popular performers in rock, she is also one of the most recognized and admired female artists. Most recently, BENATAR has been working on her long awaited autobiography “Between a Heart and a Rock Place” where she talks about her life, rock ‘n’ roll and how her generation changed music forever. Published by Harper Collins, it is due to be released in Australia in October. Joining PAT BENATAR on tour in Australia is one of the most successful all-female bands of all time THE BANGLES. Susanna Hoffs joined sisters Vicki and Debbie Peterson to form THE BANGLES in Los Angeles in December, 1980. The band was part of the Los Angeles Paisley Underground scene, which featured groups that played a mixture of 1960s-influenced folk-rock and jangle pop with a more modern garage band undertone. THE BANGLES' debut album “All Over the Place” released in 1984 captured their power-pop roots, featuring the singles "Hero Takes a Fall" and "Going Down To Liverpool”. The record received good reviews, and the video for "Liverpool" featured actor Leonard Nimoy, which helped to generate further publicity. All this went some way to attracting the attention of Prince, who later wrote “Manic Monday” for the group. "Manic Monday" went on to become a #2 hit in the US the UK and Germany outsold at the time only by another Prince composition, his own “Kiss”. The band's second album “Different Light” in 1986 was more polished than its predecessor and, with the help of the worldwide #1 hit “Walk Like an Egyptian” saw the band firmly in the mainstream. 1988's “Everything” was another multi-platinum smash and included their biggest-selling single, the soft ballad “Eternal Flame”. Tickets for PAT BENATAR and THE BANGLES go on sale on Monday 19 July at 9am.
