Hey guys, Yougrt is a "band" made by my younger brother and his friend (I'm supposedly a member but I haven't had any time to contribute). If you could listen to the above song and a few others and give feedback it'd be appreciated. They have heaps more songs but they're either old and not up to scratch or just being refined (but I can assure you, the newer stuff they have is better than Marmalade).
It's electronic music but there's no single sub-genre it fits in. Give it a spin.
FUCKING LISTEN TO IT ;)

Not to mention the modulation.

Been hearing this at work quite frequently in the last month or so. Quite catchy. Along with 'Levels' - Avicii, it's one of my favourite electro techno songs at the moment. This is just the short version, radio edit. Still goes good, though. I've also been getting into a lot of Aussie Hip-Hop recently. I've always been a fan, but only in the last 6 or 7 months have I really been getting into it big time. Really liking 360's new stuff including this song. And this one by there's that was filmed down at Maroubra, Bondi and Port Botany, the opening lyrics are really powerful, and quite meaningful, and personally can relate to them. 360's last album is actually pretty good, considering I wouldn't use his previous two efforts for coasters.

Just realised The Black Keys are playing in Newy in October, going to absolutely buy tickets to them and try and get to Coldplay in Sydney

Anyone heard the new Marilyn Manson album? Although he's a bit washed up nowdays, I still kind of like the new album. A bit of a new feel to it as well as some songs that'd hold up on some of his best albums.

Those tracks are alright, but the drums sound really stilted and they miss Ginger Fish on drums and John 5 on lead.

Those tracks are alright, but the drums sound really stilted and they miss Ginger Fish on drums and John 5 on lead. John 5 is an amazing guitarist and was held back when in Marilyn Manson. If you havent already heard some of his solo albums check them out and then you can see just how good he is with free reign. I'm not sure, but I dont even think the band had a drummer when recording this album. Music wise, it's not a bad album. A few too many fillers, but enough decent-good tracks to keep me happy. The downside though is that I find the lyrics are fairly weak. Manson's lyrics used to be very good, but nowdays it's pretty average and often I find that I cant even relate to any of his themes any more. I'm holidaying in Japan now, and I went to a crazy monster/jail themes bar where every 2 hours the lights go out, sierens start screaming and dudes dressed up as zombie's start running around the joint only for some outrageourly sexy Japanese women dressed up in police uniforms to save the day and shoot them with their toy guns. They had all of Manson's albums playing on shuffle and whenever the zombie's and monsters came out, they put some Rob Zombie on. Crazy, but an amazingly fun night.

John 5 was held back by Manson, you're right. But Twiggy isn't the kind of guy you want playing lead guitars. The drums are mostly programmed drums and/or a session drummer and you can hear the difference between that and Fish. It's not a bad album, but it's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way from Golden Age's brilliance.
