5 bands I'd love to see in Linkin Park, Blink 182, Sum 41, The Offspring, Paramore. Would like to see Metallica, but I have a big feeling they'll clash with someone.

Carrying over to the new page. TBH, none of the headliners truly excite me. I mean, yeah, Metallica, but I've seen them, and they've gone even further downhill since then. Super keen for some of the smaller bands though. Flogging Molly Ghost Kingdom of Sorrow V.o.D Periphery Of Mice and Men While She Sleeps Red Fang CHUNK! NO CAPTAIN CHUNK!Memphis May Fire Those are the bands I'm really stoked for. Specially Chunk. Gonna be sooooo good.

Not much depth in the line-up for me. Headliners are awesome, even though I'm resigned to missing out on a few of them (probably LP and Metallica). But apart from that, there's only one band, Chunk! No Captain Chunk, that I'm mildly interested in. Still a good line-up though, hopefully there will be a few cool bands in the second announcement as well.

Someone needs to give them a haircut and hide the shampoo ^^^^

really disappointing lineup! first year i will consider not going shall wait and see if any decent bands are on second annoucement. since the first couple of years where it seemed more about the music it seems to be going a little the way of big day out.....downhill.

Soundwave is still miles ahead of Big Day Out.
And i hate the people threatening to not go this year because there aren't enough metal bands. AJ has said repeatedly that it's a rock festival and there will be a variety of rock and roll, punk and metal.
Apparently LP, Blink, Metallica and APC will be on the same stage. Paramore and ATL will also feature on that stage.

Expecting Megadeth and Slayer to be the 2 major metal bands that AJ has been mentioning in the 2nd announcement. First time the Big 4 will be in Australia together. Will be massive!

Ok, so. Turns out, Pierce the Veil are actually kind of a sick band. Why did no one inform me of this?

Fair stoked for APC and Blink. Stone Sour, Flogging Molly, Cancer Bats and Memphis are on the 'will see' list too. Probably better line-up than last year in that I don't expect as many clashes.

Billy Talent are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Fantastic. 2 New songs sounded fucking sick too.

Yeah, he said it 2/3 times. As well as the SW Touring page posting: "We bid BILLY TALENT farewell (for 6 months at least anyway!) tonight with a SOLD OUT show in Melbourne."

If only they had more than one good song :P Fucking rumours going around that Maynard will be playing as Puscifer as well...not sure whether I'm stoked for that or not, given that they're really not a festival act.

If Maynard does a sideshow with Puscifer, I'm there with bells on. But at Soundwave...I'll probs give it a miss.
