is the rumour true circulating around tassie football circles that all you have is a certificate of participation only without any formal testing of competencies?

is it also true that you are basically using this certificate illegally promoting your qualifications without any written authority from the FFA?

Why cant one pose questions to forumites blatantly promoting their services when the question arises as to their credibility?

Surely 442 is complicit in this by providing the platform and should have a good, long, hard look at the facts.

if he gives his opinion on a game, what does it matter if he is qualified or not? its not medical advice....

When a forumite is blatantly promoting his services on here to the wider football community, i or anyone else has every right to question their qualifications?

If you don't like whatever qualifications Decentric has, then don't heed his advice. Its quite simple. No one is forcing you to take his words as gospel and the be all and end all. Everyone can make up their own mind of what they want to take and what not to take.

Sure but i cant understand why i cant ask the question and if i am wrong or out of line then deal with that accordingly.

You probably won't get an answer to your question, and this thread just comes across as trolling/baiting/personal attack etc because you are singling out Decentric and not asking everyone else for their qualifications.

You seem to be missing the point.

He is the one promoting a private venture having made claims which are now being shown to be folly.

Just for the record, i have highlighted inconsistent claims and blatant lies by others including ASA so its not just singling out one person.

Your missing the point. We like Decentric, we enjoy reading what he has to write. I can take it or leave it. While in his state of Tasmania if they don't like what his doing they can leave it to.

We heard what you had to say about Decentric when you first came on here, would appreciate if you started posting something of more interest now. Which you obviously have the ability to if you wanted to.

I personally find it a little disturbing when people masquarade as something they are clearly not. Australian sockah has been plagued by dodgy people since since the year dot. This is just another extention of this long standing problem.

If only the bloke simply came out and said "I have a knvb certificate of attendance (which as rabid says is being used illegally for self promotion purposes), I have an entry level FFA certificate, the vast bulk of my experience is limited to school sockah, and I will coach your kid for free" I'd be more comfortable with his position.

FFS this is an internet forum, it's meant to be not only largely anonymous, but also just for fun discussion. Why does it matter what his qualifications are or aren't? If you don't like what he's writing then don't read it. Better yet, present your own ideas instead of attacking his ALL THE TIME. Surely this could've gone in a PM though.

I haven't visiited this section for a few weeks because of the match/stats for Serbia and New Zealand fixtures and generally being busy.

I was going to post a link for the Football For Everyone school article on Walter Pless' football blog site. I didn't want a couple of obsessive stalkers/trollers, who have recently joined 442, one who thankfully seems to have lost interest of late, to visit the site/article. Now they know about the article/interview and Rabid seems to have contacts in Tasmania, I don't care who looks at it.

The link is to Walter Pless' site, Tasmania's top football writer. He is a good mate of mine. He photographed and wrote an article on the Football For Everyone school when I took a session with a junior club (my co-coach was sick). The Tasmanian FFA Technical Director was also observing this FFE session. Subsequent to the training session, coach C and I were interviewed about the FFE concept.

There was an exchange later, in comments, between a guy I think I know, possibly a National Training Centre ( Institute) coach, and me about the KNVB certificate I have. An email accompanies my KNVB certificate that it has a lot of FFA C Licence course content. The state Technical Director is happy with it, since he knows the FFA author of the email well.

The 'anonymous' critic on Walter's blog has lot to gain from being more highly qualified than everybody else.

I suggested if the KNVB certificate is only a certificate, and he is so keen to cast aspersions, then with his authorisation, I'll use the same methodology to critique his coaching practices, using all the coaching principles of the KNVB course. He is terrified of it occurring!!!! He used to coach a relative and I have considerable insight into his coaching methodology. Using KNVB evaluation techniques he will be found wanting in many areas.
Of course I won't do it without his authorisation, but he is very reluctant, even though I acknowledge he has strengths. Walter Pless is very happy for it to occur on his site to as a main article, me using KNVB methodology to critique his coaching practices.

What Rabid doesn't convey is the number of coaches/parents/players who have derived great benefit from Football For Everyone school in the article. We are also doing it for altruistic purposes - we gain no income from the venture.

Enjoy reading the aforementioned article in the link at the top of this post. You can comment, but unlike 442, archives are rarely commented on Walter's blog, and articles are only topical for a few days. Walter Pless' blog is one of the biggest football sites in the country with 1600 visitors per day.

Anyone reading the aforementioned article and the comments section, particularly from one anonymous poster, can elucidate your insinuations/accusations in detail and in context.

I have a current FFA Youth Licence where I was tested.

The KNVB course was far more demanding lasting three times a long. Course participants didn't realise there would be no testing of competencies until the last day!

As I have said to two former state FFA TDs and the anonymous critic at the end of the Walterr Pless article/interview, evaluate the training ground practice. None of them have.

Walter, the new state TD and many others have. Any coach/club (I know of) who has seen FFE, wants it at their club.

I think anonymous ( the main critic of my qualifications on Walter Pless' blog), has benefited from scouting players I developed from match observations, for more elite programmes.

There is an accompanying email from FFA delineating course content of the KNVB certificate from fourth person down from the TD.

As I explained to the Anonymous poster on WP, the difference in a course participation or licence, is a test at the end. The lack of a test doesn't negate course content.

In the KNB course I was under intense scrutiny throughout the course. In the FFA Youth course feedback only occurred at the end of the course. I was being provided with constant feedback from the first day of the KNVB course, like everybody else.

What is also apparent, is that the transcript where s/he made an attempt to reproduce describing the details of the course, was borrowed from another course participant - probably not in my course, but the elite coaches course who did it the week before.

The other course participant, must have considered the KNVB certificate very significant. S/he kept in in some sort of personal dossier with all his/her coaching qualifications. They were able to find it easily for what Anonymous claimed was a worthless bit of paper. I couldn't find mine easily till I showed it to the state TD, because I hadn't any need for years. The other coach considered the piece of paper much more valuable than me, and, they are one of Australia's elite youth coaches.

The current state TD had the sense to observe my KNVB practice on the training ground, rather than making uninformed judgements.

I think you'll find the two guys, coaches at a junior club who FFE have worked with, used their real names, when they praised the programme at the end of the article/interview in the comments section.

Don't take my word for it, contact the junior club!!!!

Personally, I think its pretty ordinary that you try to pass yourself off as someone who will teach KVNB to the kids when you are certainly not qualified to do so.

Congrats to Rabid for picking this up and shame on the rest of you for trying to downplay/stop it just because you "like" Decentric.

Decentric spends a fair bit of time pissing in people's pockets on here (and other forums) in hope that they will stand beside him when the heat is applied. To be fair, this is an area where he excels. No one can patronise as expertly as this bloke. Whilst he may have a few tail waggers on a leish, I believe most people with half a brain have little trouble seeing right through the bloke. As a poster on the WP web site commented "keep your dribble to the football field".

There are others on this forum and other forums that spend a lot of time off subject and unnecessarily attacking every thing decentric says.
I for one am tired of it I wish to hear what decentric and others have to say on the subject of coaching and performance and not the constant stalking from those who have little to say.
