I didn't i tried everything to stop it even played with less players even told them to put on more players.

There is nothing worse than winning or losing by huge margins.

Krones, your trick of only being able to score through a weak player or two at the point of the attack has worked well for me.

I suppose another one I often use on the training ground is that every player in the team must touch the ball before they shoot. Then start again as soon as they lose the ball. Kids often don't like doing this though. Also, some parents get stroppy too.

More the case of shocking grading by an inept club or association..

How can you get balance ?
If a club or importantly a jnr team has a nucleus of spirited talented players why break them up ? these cycles go on in every team sport.

The main issue I notice over the years here in Syd having 2boys playing is that X club Admin want a team in Div1 when they know all too well these poor kids should have been a Div2 or even Div3 team but turn a blind eye.
There should be a std across the board for ALL clubs what level a team needs to be for Div1 Div2 etcetc.
Also the next important factor is coaching std as you mention - unfortunately Jnrs is reliant on Dads/Mums to put their hand up unless X kid is chosen to play Rep, the volunteering Parent should get more guidance from their Club or a Course to attend prior to the season commencement.
All I see is that Clubs are happy a team is getting made up/coach/manager has been nominated and sweating on getting the rego fees paid up in time of seasons commencement - then pass on the kit thats it wash their hands off xyz.
Sure Club Admin is also voluntary BUT considering they have put their hand up to do the job they don't do enough imo.

Just putting this up there seeing its open for discussion.

Try doing exercises where they are on teams where they may not have as much space, or talk to them about the results.

I don't think it is that much of a problem if it is a one off event. When I played at that age we lost several games by similar margins. It sucked losing by that much but it motivated us to work harder to improve our own game so that it didn't happen again, which we did, sometimes even winning the return fixture.

If one team is winning or losing every week by that margin something needs to be done. There was a team at my club in the bottom division of my age group when I was in the u12's that used to lose by 15+ goals every week. None of them have come back to play in the 10 years since.

Yesterday 1 of my U11s team won 24+ - 0.
I tried everything i could to prevent this but could not stop it.
Clearly poor coaching is the problem, but what do you do?
Scale team and players and make a super league at 11?
Spread the talent across all teams from the same club and insure other clubs do?
Have a TD for each age group at each club?
Train all the U11's one day with their coach and 1 day with all coaches and teams together?

how are others handling this problem?

ps out of 42 teams only 4/5 are playing good football.to be truthful mine is the only club not selecting a and b teams at this age.
