It doesn't make any sense at all, from a footballing or a business point of view, that a player with Kewell's resume and ability, having just had an injury free season, available on a free, would attract no interest from any of the 92 EPL and Football League clubs, nor from the SPL clubs.

That being the case one must assume that something scared clubs away from making him an offer. Either his demands were too high, or EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE 120 OR SO FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL CLUBS was scared off by his reputation for wanting the world on a plate. I find the former far easier to believe than the latter.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why one should not invest one's hard earned in a shirt with a player's name that hasn't given at least a good season's service to a club, regardless of how auspicious a signing it is.

It's pretty sad the crap this guy recieves when he atleast made an attempt to give something back to Australian football domestically, when Neill and co continue literally playing for money. I would love to see him back. Media attention wise this has been a huge start to season 8 and would give another massive boost if he returned.

He went to England and made it clear that he was looking for a club. He IS a good footballer, it doesn't make sense that no-one would make an offer... So one has to assume that any interest was met with his demands and scared clubs off.

Actually this was all speculation... Harry really hasn't said a word since he left the country, and no-one knows what's going on.

No club has come out and said "We wanted Harry but he wanted too much." or "Harry didn't want to play championship football."

Yeah it's understandable, if you're terminally ill you don't want to be feeling guilty knowing your son-in-law sacrificed his one in a million career just for the company. All wild speculation of course.

I'd like to see H back and I reckon he and Ange would actually get on really well. Both ruthless professionals. I like them both.

She was in a poor state for the majority of last season too IIRC, might even be possible that H could leave his family in the UK to stick with the mother in law while he comes back. I know Harry is a family man but if something doesn't happen for him soon this could be the end of his career.

Under the cap only tbh, not marquee worthy when he goes to England, fails to get a club there in any division and returns to Australia. Would make A-league seem like a bit of a joke really.

Quite possible the mother-in-law has told Harry to look after himself and not worry about her - short career - don't let it end just because of me - etc. Mother's can be pretty bloody heroic, and all that.

If he's willing to fit under the cap, take a random squad number, and work hard for his spot at both Victory and subsequently the Socceroos in whatever way Ange wants him to, I don't see why not.
