Pretty sure I'm more excited for this than many other things I should be happening next year. Absolutely buzzing!

Sequel

AFAIK it's a sequel but with slim-to-no of the originals coming back into the frey.

That means no Spielberg, no Dr Allan Grant, no Malcolm the chaos theorist.

Steven Spielberg is still in it :-s

Apparently this is set twenty years after the events of the third film took place and it's on the same island as the first one.

They also have BD Wong returning as Dr Henry Wu from the first film.

So in that leaked trailer you gave the other day, there was a scene in it where he talks to the raptor, puts his hand out, and the raptor steps back.

From this, and that bike scene in this official trailer, I have deduced that Pratt must have nurtured the raptors from birth and they're non-threatening to him - ie they're like his pets, and he can get them to do things, and they don't harm him. Similar to the dude doing the rounds on fb atm with the lions.

If so, I'm pretty excite.

God, that's an evil mastermind-take-over-the-world thing. Fuck. Imagine taking your dog for a walk and bumping into some bloke just letting his Raptor stretch his legs.

Makes your average baby-eating pit-bull look like a tame Caterpillar.

And also from the trailer we have a monstrous shark eating dinosaur, whom, despite being clearly the most ferocious dinosaur in the trailer, is apparently not the main antagonist.

I mean, it fucking eats sharks.

Rumour was out months ago that Pratt is the park-keeper and has raptors trained to help track down runaway dinosaurs... There are some stills around somewhere with the raptors wearing muzzles.

Not to mention what Alan Grant said in the third movie about the dinosaurs.
