Japan's biggest test so far. UAE have been impressive.

Agree if Japan take them lightly there in for a game and Japan have not been tested yet for me they had a very week group.Omar Abdulaman on fire to player of the Asia cup so far.

That afro guy is an OK player but he would never leave the juicy mango of the middle east for salary capped mediocrity as people have been trying to insinuate.

UAE will cause an upset and knock japan out......... That was my prediction and im sticking to it. Japan had an easy group and they just did enough.

Japan have not impressed. Doing enough to beat weak teams. Often this what the eventual winners do in tournaments, but this time I doubt it. UAE to cause the boil over of the tournament.

I'd say Japan have been cruising. Looking very good with their general play without really hitting top gear either in defense or attack.

UAE could not beat Iran and the same (sadly) will be true here.

Japan have to back up a few games in a row I can imagine fatigue will play a part, especially since they have not rotated the squad. They have the best defense and don't stop creating chances, they also have alot of experience. UAE are a good cohesive side. I think it will come down to mental strength.

Going 2-0 Japan. I really want UAE to scrap it and will go mental if they do, but I just don't see it happening

Best thing for us. Given the day less for these teams. Would be a high tempo. Exhausting 120 mins followed by a close penalty shoot out

UAE have been playing quite well but simply put Honda is probably the best player in Asia and he has been a bit like our Cahill (carrying the team). Although I think it won’t be easy I cant see UAE beating the Japanese Honda will certainly score at least one goal and I honestly think that will be enough. UAE don’t have the fire power to break what has been a solid Japanese defense. 1-0 Japan Edited by Davstar: 23/1/2015 08:54:47 AM

Taking out the fact that I would prefer Australia to play UAE over Japan. I really want UAE to win, despite having Japan in a sweep, just so I have the pleasure to watch Abdulrahman again.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
