Marquee defenders are cheaper

Maybe they should look in holland for a cheap-ish defender under the cap, you can have 3 good forwards but if your defense is shot you're gonna loose. maybe even Cansdell-Sherrif?

As if City would splash the cash for a marquee defender. They need attack. A playmaker. That's where their marquee will be.

they would still need to replace mooy. they need a playmaker.

if they have fornaroli and cahill they will still need to fill the gap. i cant see them going with a defender in the other marquee spot. unless they score someone under the cap - their are enough options around, doesnt have to be groundbreaking they could pick up someone like finkler, or someone like castro, floating around europe/south america.

I dont think he would, but I definitely think he would be worth a marquee/guest spot.

If a deal had aready been done, surely after mooy has left is when it would be announced??? if someone massive (e.g David Villa status or similar) had signed for an a-leauge club a while ago, surely there would be a few rumors about it?? christ, even when they signed Robi Koren (whats he doing nowdays??) I heard about it a few times in various forums before it was announced..

It was reported it is someone they have had lined up for a while and surely they would be going with a Mooy replacement, their midfield would be rather weak otherwise.
