Good thread.
First ever racing game I played was Colin McRae Rally on the PS1 followed by Gran Turismo both awesome games for what they were back then.
Then moved onto the Need for Speed Series over the years; Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon, Hot Pursuit (on the PS1/PS2/360 from memory).
Most Wanted was my favourite, the career mode with the 15 Racers pink-slips, pursuits/milestones/bounty's I felt was ahead of everything else at the time.
Colin McRae: Dirt was next, reminded me of the good old days, plenty of different events/races. Still remember getting a couple of world records on the hill-climbs. RIP to the Great man.
Now on to the greatest car racing game I've ever played: Race Driver: Grid (360), just on how it played/graphics/career mode was just so far ahead of everything else.
