+x+x+x+xCan't this guy just be happy for the season he had? Fmd, he must have forgotten all the calls that went in Sydneys favour.
He said he can't in the post match interview. He's happy with success but there is always something to improve. Sounds more like there is always something to whinge about. Could say the same for you. Who cares! You are whinging right now, like Arnie.

That's the difference between Arnie and Popovic. Arnie wins the grand-final and still sees ways to improve whereas Popovic loses three grand-finals and lauds it as a great achievement. Just like Western Sydney, Popovic is happy with mediocrity. Moaning about the refs when the refs have favoured your own side is not seeing ways to improve, genius.

He said he can't in the post match interview. He's happy with success but there is always something to improve. Sounds more like there is always something to whinge about. He's a perfectionist. I'd expect someone like Popovic to say exactly the same thing. No matter how good they have it, they'll never be content. It is a good trait to have in a your head coach. He is complaining about poor refereeing that supposedly would have made them the invincibles but seems to forget the calls have gone their way throughout the season as well aka Carney handball. Why he would mention this after a great season is pointless, it comes off as stupid and whinging for the sake of it. Of course every coach wants to improve, I don't see how moaning about the above situation has anything to to with that.

+xFirst A-League coach to win both the premiership and championship with two A-League sides. With 2 premierships and 2 championships hes the equal most successful manager in A-League history but having won at two different clubs, is he the greatest A-League manager of all time? no the team he had this year any coach would have won it if the ffa done a proper audit of what they spent on players like they done with Perth I think it could be a different story but Lowy wouldent allow that just my thoughts.

+xI like the way you have adopted the early mantra of Mariners fans about Arnie - yet another thing you have stolen from us to claim success for SFC, lets count them. ARNIE Clarkie John Crawley Vukovic Wilkinson Matt Simon Bernie Ibini did I miss anyone? probably. But still I offer congratulations. Its nice to see the CCM alumni win another championship. It's been a tough time for CCM. They are the league over achiever, that are rock bottom. SFC not helping the cause by taking all their staff and players. Like the Melbourne teams and the Roar.

+x+xAnge. The comeback grand final showed the inadequacy of Arnie. He has definitely improved, but Ange took the A League by storm. You blamed a coach, who's side is leading 2 nil with 3 minutes to go in xtra time & end up losing on penalties? Yep, you see the angry whingy Arnie now as a consequence of losing the unlosable (with 3 minutes to go) Grand Final. He knew he stuffed up, not instructing his players to be more clinical. Compare that 3 minutes to the clinical professionalism that was displayed by Arnie's team throughout this season. Hopefully this win will see an Arnie that is a bit more mellow, whilst still demanding a high performance from his team.

I'd say best manager so far, of all time is kinda of pointless since the A-League is still in its infancy, lets check back in say 50 years then decide.

+xAnge. The comeback grand final showed the inadequacy of Arnie. He has definitely improved, but Ange took the A League by storm. I think that was a massive learning experience for Arnie and deeply changed him. That hurt a lot. The year after CCM got the premiship was knock out by perth in the semis. Took another year to fully recover. If he can back it up next year, there is no doubt that he is the best coach. But he the most successful at the moment. Remember the curse of the champion, no one other than the roar bucked the trend.
