To be honest im not 100% sold on this, he also has alot of interest from all over Europe so the first makes I feel it could make or break he's career and getting game will be very important for him and a club like Celtic it will be tough to get that when they have so much competition for places.
I also feel especially with the depth that is coming in on the wings on the Socceroos front he would be more suited as a No.10 or SS where he has more freedom to create as well, that might be he's longer term position too especially with Kuol and Irankunda coming through.
Just hope this isnt a Arzani 2.0 situation.

was hoping he would stay with city group maybe go to Girona or something but yeah not 100% on this as he will struggle for game time unless Jota moves on.

Hope this isn't true. He won't get the minutes that he needs, to keep building on the great season he had with City. This is obviously an Ange deal, so would worry whether Rodgers will play him. Kind of like what happened with Harry at Leicester.

What is the impulse for Aussie players to go to celtic and expect to get game time and succeed?! I’m assuming money 💰 Unless you are Viduka, Rogic or Mooy you will struggle due to high competition for starting spots. Tilio should consider Hearts or Hibs before Celtic

Tilio should consider Hearts or Hibs before Celtic He should have done what Bos did. I understand the allure of big name clubs-the young keeper is another one at Bayern-but IMO their best pathway is a decent club in a tier 2 continental league eg Belgium Netherlands, leagues with good clubs known for youth development and on-selling talent.

If he can break into the Celtic rotation then it’s a good move, but I think that is doubtful. Tier 2 continental clubs are the best proven way to do it and Bos did it right.

Even at Mel city I didn't think he was that good as a winger.

To be honest i thought he might get a gig somewhere like Denmark,Switzerland or even Japan I thought he'd be good enough to have a decent career overseas and hang around the fringes of the Socceroos but i didn't see a Celtic move coming. Not sure he has what it takes for them but good luck because he'll need it

Tilio should consider Hearts or Hibs before Celtic I mean anyone who goes to Celtic and plays generally gets big clubs coming after them. Abada could be off, Jota could be off, O'Riley even!! Champions League football on offer, one of the best stadiums itw with the best fan bases itw. Good place to go if you have the confidence and desire to succeed as we saw with Ange himself. We need more players to test themselves at big clubs. Tilio is in a different class to a Natty Akka, Devlin or Baccus, so imo this move is on par with heading to a top belgian or Austrian side.

Tilio is slightly built and probably won’t cope with the physicality of the SPL. Should have gone to Hibs or somewhere, built up his strength and then looked for a big club move. That won’t happen at Celtic as he will he warming pine all the time. Too many young kids going for glory rather than slow and steady wins the race.

Agree that he is needs too chunk up but has the speed and touch to do well. I think he's a marginally better player than Arzani was when he went to Celtic.

The only other players with better numbers were Goodwin, Cummings and Borello. All of which are older than Tilio. Borello and Cummings were also played up front rather than on the wing, so our bound to pickup more goals.

I feel this is a better move for Celtic than it is for Tilio.
Celtic get a great player but Tilio will play in a league where every league game except for the Old Firm games will be completely uncompetitive.
I know Celtic have Champions League football but does playing 6 group stage games against high quality opponents really make up for 30 odd league games where it’s a complete walk in the park? Probably not.

Pretty good move I'd say. He's at least as good as Abada (who might be off) who was used off the bench a lot by Ange. Can certainly see him as an impact sub (at least) as Celtic tend to use a lot of wide players - under Ange. He can also play as a #10 and that would be attractive for Celtic.
Has good ball control and can beat a player. That will be useful against the mass parked buses confronting Celtic most games. Mind you, he could take a while to adapt to the weather and the softer pitches. I reckon it was the soft pitches that did for Arzani and Tilio is a similar jinky style player.
ECL is a massive bonus, presuming he plays, and Celtic fans / atmos are among the very best in the world. Hard to say no to that.
Finally, if he succeeds at SPL level it will make him a much tougher player and we could do with some of that in the NT.

Hmm. Think Celtic bit beyond him. Especially as they already have a lot of wingers. He's about the same level as Mikey Johnston who is a squad player at celtic at best and was loaned to the Portuguese top tier last season.
Tilio is good enough to be a squaddie at Rangers or automatic first choice at Hibs or hearts but not celtic.

I think the kids either gonna spend alot of time on the bench or get loaned out to a second div side with the hopes of on selling him down the track...

Under Rodgers I think he could be vying with Maeda for a place, who has inferior ball control and decision-making and finishing, at times diabolically bad see the Madrid open goal miss, not an isolated one either. Very un-Japanese.

So yeah he's doing pretty well for himself.
