Mods are pretty good but change a forum name is not something we can do, the webguy has this talent so you might want to suggest it in the feedback forum.

why dont the mods change the name from grass roots football, to state leagues and grass roots football. that way everyone is happy

I could have made it longer by pointing to recognised definitions of grass roots sports as being at the bottom of the sporting triangle or the FFA National Curriculum that calls 6-7 year olds the Grass Roots of football and I even could have pointed to the FFA National Curriculum that groups the A-League, NYL and State Premier Leagues at the elite end of Australian football but I decided not to.

That has to be your shortest post Gyfox.

Please move this across to Australian football where it belongs. Any football forum that does not include the 2nd tier of football as Australian Football loses all credibility as a vehicle for discussing football.

Yeah in that thread he tried to compare the NSWPL too the English Championship. Only problem with that is the Championship is a fully professional league whereas the NSWPL is only semi-professional. The equivalent in England would be the Blue Square Premier League IMO.

As Mus-28 has just posted, this forum is for State Leagues, and all football below that level. Last time I checked, the NSW Premier League was a state league.
