UNITED States midfielder Landon Donovan believes a long season is catching up with a "worn out" Wayne Rooney ahead of the World Cup finals in South Africa.

I think Donovan is looking for another headline. Did the same with Beckham a while back. He loves being in the newspaper. Rooney is used to the English game its the only place he has played. He hasnt come out and said Torres is worn out? Wayne will be fit and I hope he has a good tourament and who knows...take England all the way...

how would Donovan know? Is he best buddies with Rooney or something?

All players are tired at seasons end and really in the last 10 games or so is where alot of players are struggling with Niggles

Rooneys season hasnt been any bigger than the likes of Lampard Drogba Xavi any any other starting 11 player for a top team
