I'm disappointed that the World's media have not attached Manuel Neuer in the same way that they did Thierry Henry. This goalkeeper has got away with the worst cheating so far in the World Cup and yet he has escaped with little or no criticism. He is just as culpable as the linesman. I hope that in the years to come that the English fans will target him with banners and chants every time he comes up against an English team in the ECL/Europa Cup/European Nations Cup/World Cup.

How many of us could say we wouldn't do exactly the same thing in his position?

earlier this season the ball crossed the line at 0-0 and the goal wasn't given against our team, the opposition were furious and our keeper and i admitted that the ball had in fact gone over the line and the descision was overturned, although it was only a pre-seaon...

there is no way you can compare henry with this, henry intentially hand-balled it, neuer never set out for the ref to make the wrong descision, he may of known it was over the line and didn't admit it but there is no way you can mention this and henry's handball in the same breath.

No they wouldn't. You obviously know nothing of the English press. Unbelievable though it may seem to people such as yourself, vestiges of the fair play ideal do remain in England. Cheating to win is still frowned upon.

Actually, what you said implies they (keepers) are ALL cheats - which is not inaccurate. This is as much of the game as diving is. Honesty in sport went out the window once people starting paying athletes.

Totally different. Tevez MAY have thought he was on side and could definitely argue he thought he was. The keeper saw it was way over the line and chose to continue.

When you're a striker, you know EXACTLY where the last defender is. Especially when he's marking you. Tevez would have known he was offside.

Tevez did know he was offside, he admitted it. But you can't call the German keeper and Tevez dirty, they did what anyone would do. You have a go at the ref/linesman not the player.

You stop and tell us all, in your own words and in plain english that you would honestly stop and tell the referee that the ball crossed the line if you were in Neuer's shoes.
