Once he scored a goal with his hand and told the reff who had awarded the goal that it hit is hand, thats how honest he is. I dont know what has gotten into him but it seems to be happening in all the Euro teams.

I think it is a little more grey than that, but at risk of not sitting on the fence; actually, yes. I am saying he isn't a cheat... It's not grey, it's black and white. It would be very admirable of him to say that it went over the line, but he is under no obligation to do so. Mate, I agree. But I was trying to soften the blow on Denis Law; he seems very delicate... Ok, let me give you a little analogy: In cricket, it is not against the laws of the game to bowl underarm. Greg Chappell told brother Trevor to bowl the final match delivery underarm to NZ batsman Brian McKechnie in order to prevent him scoring 6 and tieing the match. Both Chappell brothers have been vilified ever since for doing something against the spirit of the game. I hope the same happens to Manuel Neuer. Quote “I realized it was tight, but I was quite sure it was over the line. I think that perhaps the way I carried on so quickly fooled the referee and made him think it was not over."[/color] Oh, and have you ever heard of the Fifa Fair Play award ? Mate, he wasn't a cheat; let it go... He was unsportsmanlike; but as tomw pointed out, he's not even the most unsporting player in the cup... Yes, I have heard of the FIFA Fair Play Award; whats your point? Before you ask, I would rather win The World Cup than the FIFA Fair Play Award. But I guess that says something about me doesn't it?

Yeah... that wasn't cheating either. It looks like what you are saying is that he is the most unsportsmanlike player at the cup. I would disagree with that too, he is well down the list, mostly below those who actually have cheated. And the same won't happen to Neuer, because most people don't give a shit.

FIFA Fair Play Award doesn't win you the world cup.
Conceding 3 other goals in the same game doesn't win it for you either

According to http://www.fantasycheatersleague.com/stats/ (a fantasy WC game where points are awarded for diving, shirt pulling, hand-balls, etc rather than goals and assists, etc), C. Ronaldo is.

From the look of tevez it took him a few years longer than that to figure out offside. Probably took him until he was 10 just to learn to count to 2.

You play to the whistle. That's simply it.
If I was a keeper, I wouldn't have stopped play and said 'Oh no Referee, that was a goal', then point to the spot it bounced etc, If the ball came back out without the referee calling the goal, then its play-on and its not your fault you didnt say anything.

He cheated his teammates more through his inability to keep his feet and his sulking for the final 20 minutes.

Nothing to do with his pre-tournament reputation; he cheated his team mates through his selfishness.

Neuer did not reach over the line and bring it back into play, the ball bounced back into play and he picked it up. As the whistle was not blown he did what he is required to do by the Laws of the Game which is to move the ball out of his possession. The match officials made the mistake in not awarding the goal. Tevez made a run but the ball was not played to him. This left him in an offside position when the ball was played to him seconds later. He nodded it into the goal. Players do this all the time. The linesman did not make a correct call. Don't blame players for officials mistakes. As I said move on and stop being so perverse.

And yet you still can't admit that you'd do exactly what they did if you were in their shoes.

Don't cry for me Joga Bonito. You stop and tell us all, in your own words and in plain english that you would honestly stop and tell the referee that the ball crossed the line if you were in Neuer's shoes.

But you can't call the German keeper and Tevez dirty, they did what anyone would do. You have a go at the ref/linesman not the player.
