Use this thread for discussion etc

the only real interest i have in nfl is playing it, shit to watch, but i tell you what it's a fucking hell of a lot of fun!

i miss those primary school days when we all clobbered each other playing nfl, i wasn't one of the bigger kids but i could sure put in a decent tackle

ah, those were the days :)

Terrible sport. Seems like it's just set up for advertising and so thousands of statisticians can make a living.

You should both STFU! :P

The tactical depth of American Football is crazy. They cover everything, its so thorough. Its not just a game for knuckleheads. The players are athletic beasts, faster, stronger, more accurate, consistent, etc. at everything they do than players in any other team sport.

Totally agree with bonkers.

I'm a Patriots fan. Before anyone accuses me of being a bandwagoner, I offer the defence that i picked the Patriots as my team after Peter Griffin signed for them.

+1 and for marketing purposes. Every stoppage in play requires a 2 minute break, conveniently enough time to spruke some ads.

How are they the best athletes in the world? Pulease. The tactics may be "deep", but I'd still rather play a game of chess than watch a bunch of wankers run around in plastic armour, taking a break every 20 seconds.

As a long time Packers fan I'm really hoping this is their year. A lot of pundits are picking them for the Superbowl, which is what bothers me, cause the talking heads are usually wrong!

Cowboys. Jumped on the bandwagon a couple of years ago. Tony Romo, Marion Barber and DeMarcus Ware were my faves back then. Really fell of the bandwagon though so now im just getting back into.

Im getting into college football now moreso than NFL but dont have a fave team.

Theyre the best athletes in team sports. Compare any one player in any one attribute eg. pace, strength, power, to any other athlete in any other team sport and there will most be at least one NFL player who can beat them.

Patriots had a good win against the Bengals, or the Ben-Gaaals as Fox Sport call them. Gonna be a tough season without Ty Warren though.

I was surprised to see that The Rams took the game to Arizona on the weekend. Really expected them to do a lot better.

Green Bay played a good game for the season opener. Any Packers fans on here?

I was surprised to see the Chargers go down and that the Giants won so convincingly.

Vikings for me. Only watch it every now and again. And like replays as they skip all the down time. Its very tactical.

Good to watch :)

Go the Packers. I'll admit, rolling the Bills 34-7 isn't exactly the best indication, but we kept the Eagles quiet last week and they were hot against Washington.

It's a good start to their season. They did well against the Eagles, but Kolb was injured early on for them so I'm not sure if it's a result to run with.

What they did to the Bills was great to see.

Cards got annihilated by the Falcons, dunno what the fuck happened there. Surprised New England lost to the Jets too.

also, lol @ the giants. I dont' like either of the Manning brothers. Peyton's a fucking douche.
