WE DA BEST \:d/ \:d/ Why do you not count CCM in the Sydney total? Gosford isn't Sydney [-x [-x It is 60km from the CBD about the same distance as Penrith. To compare it to Melbourne it would be like not including members from Frankston. The only reason it isn't part of Sydney is because it is separated by a national park. I can drive through the northern beach suburbs to Palm beach and chuck a rock at Gosford. Half of CCM's members are reportedly from Northern Sydney. Edited by Eldar: 29/9/2015 10:37:56 AM

I recently purchased an adult and junior season memberships (general admission bronze) for Sydney FC. My son will only be going to selected number of games so I am wondering if they actually check if I bring along an adult using the junior membership? Do Allianz gates have some kind of concession light that goes on when you scan?
P.S.... obviously I don't wish to scam the system or anything here... just asking :)

They don't have a special signal for concession cards, it would more be the case that a steward could ask you to show them the membership but in all my years of attending games, ive never had to show them my membership. Not a worry in the world to worry about seriously. PS welcome to the forum btw. Edited by Davo1985: 30/9/2015 11:59:02 AM

Kudos to Melbourne Victory fans: Quote:http://www.a-league.com.au/article/melbourne-victory-break-all-time-a-league-membership-record/mzv6ehjegjbwzgxl2sm738y9 Victory break all-time membership record Tuesday, 29 September 2015 - Melbourne Victory @gomvfc Melbourne Victory has confirmed that their all-time membership record has officially been broken with little over a week until the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season begins. A total of 24,232 members have already signed up for season 2015/16, surpassing the record that was set just last season. "On behalf of everyone associated with the club, I would like to thank each and every member for being Victory In Every Way this season," Victory chairman Anthony Di Pietro said. "We are incredibly proud and appreciative of the extraordinary contribution our members make to our club. "The atmosphere and passion our members generate at our games is second to none and an inspiration to all of us. " Despite achieving a new club record, we have not reached our membership target for this season, so I encourage all Melbourne Victory fans who are not members to join us for what promises to be our most exciting season yet." Victory memberships are still available by clicking here, starting from $238 for adults and $48 for juniors. ^ Ouch! The latest figures, via http://www.A-League.com.au/membership: Those with the big gains on the previous week, Wellington Phoenix ^531Melbourne Victory: ^484Adelaide United: ^439Sydney FC: ^323Central Coast: ^216City and Jets grew by reasonable levels, WSW seem to be winding to their max. Perth Glory sluggish, but they have their Gloryus Family Fun Day still to come, this Sunday, which should see more of a bump up. I presume some of the above clubs had similar Fan Days or may still have, hence the bumps up contributing to the late surge. Hopefully the A-League hits 90k by their next update, early October, as that week leads up to the A-League's kick-off! Edited by GloryPerth: 1/10/2015 01:21:43 AM

Edited by GloryPerth: 1/10/2015 01:21:43 AM Way to go Newcastle, making Roar look silly. Pull your collective finger out Brizzy A fair few increases to this total already: Sydney per Tony Pignata's tweet last night - 10,445 (47 higher) Melb City per membership page - 6,880 (115 higher) Jets per membership page - 7,056 (158 higher) Wanderers - 6,686 (41 higher) And that is just from the clubs which publicise it... no doubting Adelaide, Mariners have all increased. Regardless we are now at more than 87k memberships and should hit 90k before round 1. From memory Round 1 last year was 97k.... so we actually aren't doing too bad considering the negative/no publicitiy leading up to this campaign. General Comments about clubs: Adelaide - Really surprised their numbers weren't pushing 10k this season... Sydney Fc - Looks likely to increase on last year, although definitely expected a much larger increase due to the last years success and their style. Other than that we are 7k down, and if Brisbane Roar were anything but a basket case, we'd be on track to be consistent with last year and that is with no Villa/big marquee's in town. Actually quite good when you look at it like that.

^ included the past 2 seasons above.
So we are about 4k behind last year at the same point in time. Davo if you get a chance to do your proper updates that would be great but in the mean time hopefully this helps a little.

A big jump over the course of the past week and a half (+3,966). If we can crack 90k by the time next Thursday comes around that would be good.
Some positive stories coming out of the Mariners, Wellington and Melbourne Victory. This has countered the negative press surrounding the Police vs WSW issue which hopefully will be resolved by kick off. Last thing we need is a strike either by the players or fans at the first game. It would damage the whole season in my opinion.
Still surprised by Adelaide's figures. Seriously, they play in an intimate stadium, playing great football and have achieved quite a bit in the past year, winning the FFA cup and making finals football. Really thought they would be pushing closer to 8-9k by now.
I still think we'll be down by about 10-15k from last season.

I doubt that's the reason why 2000 or more people have decided not to sign up. It's not like the replacement was an Aloisi who was met with hard discontent due to his failures at Melb Heart. For all we know he could easily be better than Gombau.
