Amazing comeback from Blacktown. Down 2-0, come back to make it 2-2 with a 94th minute equaliser.
Parramatta v United finished 1-0 United.
Just Olympic v Rockdale to finish the weekend.

Personally was surprised another A-League team went in for Nikas when Fury dissolved. he had another poor game last night

2 goals in a minute on the South Coast with the Wolves equalising and then Bonnyrigg scoring again to make it 3-2 just seconds later.
Also a hattrick to Robbie Younis on his debut.

So happy the NSWPL is kicking off tonight. Should be getting out to Melita Stadium tomorrow for Parramatta Melita vs Sydney United 58. My tips for the 1st week are:
Draw Sutherland Sharks Marconi Stallions Blacktown City Sydney United 58 Draw

They only have themselves to blame. Exactly right, and to their credit they havent shifted the blame either. It's a bit sad for the league, Bankstown on their good days would take 500 fans to every away game, and would always provide a good atmosphere. Even in a disaster year like this one, Bankstown fans outnumbered the home team at Blacktown, APIA, Marconi, Manly, Melita and Sutherland (once all the parents with kids leave at half time after they play on the field at half time). When all clubs are struggling for money, gate and canteen money is very crucial. A club with fans will be replaced with a team that will only draw the family and friends of it's players to home games in Spartans. I'm not sure if Bankstown will bounce right back. Berries have always had their property portfolio supporting them financially, Mounties Wanderers have Mounties pumping money into the club, while Bankstown is once again rattling the tin around hoping for members/sponsors to put up the money. well the berries didnt jump back up this year so you never know. will be very interesting to see how the spartans go next season. not sure how much coin they will have to strengthen their current squad.

This is a very, very sad day for NSW football. Good luck to the Bankstown City Lions, hope you can bounce back soon. For NSW PL your facilities are great and you have contributed to the development of a lot of great young players and coaches, even better considering you are based in Sydney’s rugby strongholds. Politics a side we are only as strong as our weakest link. I honestly hope that the newly promoted Pl teams are not promoted on financial bases focused on the next season alone but also on future financial stability, youth talent and geographical location.
We had a great season that ended with a terrific Grand Final attended by 10K fans and hardly mentioning in mainstream media, our game needs a vision and direction to bring this game to its original competitiveness and glory it deserves in this state.
