+x+x+x+x+xWill be interesting if we see an unchanged line up. Not expecting it, but hoping Roy sees some time on the bench. He hasn't performed and is being rewarded by keeping his starting spot. Must send the wrong message to the rest of the squad. +xThis game at Redcliffe will be interesting. Not very hopeful for Brisbane even scoring a goal. +xThe last time Roar played MC at Dolphin oval was in an FFA Cup,when Fornaroli scored the winner. MC have averaged 2 goals a game. Brisbane have conceded on average less than 1 goal per game. Brisbane have averaged .25 goals a game.Which means they score every four games. MC have conceded on average 1 goal a game. Brisbane has not played the three top scoring teams.Namely MC,SFC and WU. MC have not played the other two best defensive teams.Namely WSW and SFC. MC is the third best defensive team. Predicted score 0-1 to MC. +xI will get in early. We may as well play youth, because this season is done. @hames_jetfield - earlier this afternoon "Getting ready to bump my is Robbie Fowler in trouble thread" :) Yeah but I'm not a Roar supporter. One game doesn't make a season. Fair enough - I took your list to be paying out on people who doubted the Roar's ability to win this particular game and had foolishly ;) posted negative comments to that effect. You were in fine company. You have might come back to score four goals, but you were still 3-0 at half time. I am still thoroughly unconvinced about Robbie Fowler and his Royal Brigade of British duds.

+x+xI worry about Pepper and Mauk being our midfield. Hope to not see that particular combination again. Probably Robbie's directions, but we had nothing at all in the middle for the whole first half. There were only City shirts in there. I thought pepper had a top game today , second half he was well on top and playing alone DM Agree

Was closely following O’Shea today, good player, a class above most his teammates.

Probably Robbie's directions, but we had nothing at all in the middle for the whole first half. There were only City shirts in there. I don’t think you could blame the midfield for that though. Peps has a serviceable game, Mauk better (but surely Inman there would offer more). In the second half Mauk was a big reason we scored any goals. He was pushed up higher leaving a lone DM in pepper (who I have bashed a lot in the past so will give him props for a stellar job in the second half, cut out alot and kept the ball moving quickly) but just by moving Mauk higher up the park it took some pressure off O'Shea as he didn't have quite as much running to do and it actually made a link between The midfield and attack so we looked much more dangerous. I think Inman looked good early in preseason where he was in the wide midfield position and that is where I would play him. Sort if in a 4-1-3-2 formation

Thanx all you guys for your input. Just can't seem to get game in NZ or any highlights.
Im happy then with back 4 instead of back 3.
Amd it appears that may have contributed to a performance that resulted in goals.
Yes i I do agree about McGing. I can't see y he is constantly selected, tho i of course didn't see today's game but previous games has not convinced me at all. Crosses from go far up the pitch 90% of the time. Get in behind mate, sometimes?

I feel we do play at a top 4 level. Just need to be playing more than one half. Just need to tinker with our balance and I don't think Fowler is truly playing our best 11.

+xWhat the f’ck was that 😂😂😂 love football but how does Maccers score with TWO headers, Roar concede within a minute of scoring and still come back to 3-All, and then sneak a winner. Cracker of game. Dolphin looked great on the box. Big improvement on suncorp. 9

Sounds like the old brisbane, comeback kings, lets hope it continues, crazy game :) Fowler’s No 1 priority is to figure out his best starting XI. For me its Neville at right CB, Courtney-Perkins at wide left mid, and probably DWH over Holloway not sure about right Mid, McGing was crap today Mcging has been crap all season. I don't know what anyone sees in him. The second half showed that the best 11 is an attacking 442/433with Neville( I think hingert will displace him though) aldred gilesphie/reardon Courtney Perkins Oniel as DM Inman Mauk and O'Shea am
Dwh rod up front
The 442 we were playing (with CP high up the field) made us look a lot more dangerous

Wow that was fun, just got back from it. Had a dental course I was running and rushed to get to the game on time. Good to see Fowler show growth already, brings optimism.
Happy that AWH Started. ROD scored 3 goals and hopefully will have confidence. Some of the calls that went Brisbane's way (Deserved) were ignored/not given the last few weeks, this match it felt those calls went Brisbane;s way.
My fear about the defenders only looking good due to sitting deep was shown in this match. I do think Fowler will be able to find the right balance.
All in all, not Brisbane's best match of the season but a result they deserved!
Also, finally my tip for a Brisbane win occurred, let down the past two rounds.

+xI'm in NZ so didn't see game but wow we hot a win and ROD got 3 !!!! I was thinking if Rod can get one or two his confidence mite boom!!!! And he did! Did we deserve it? Did it all come together? looks like we played 4 in the backline. Someone fill me in on the details? Deserved the win and 5-3 wouldn’t have been unfair.

Can’t believe how many times we’ve needed goal line technology this season either

+x+xRobbie Fowler at least learned one thing: Jake McGing sucks. For mine Bowles was certainly the worse of two today though, we were certainly being cut to pieces on that side of the field. Bikers sucked. My mate Pepper was good though.

But yeah Perkins over mcging. Holloway is an odd one, a bit like a paper tiger but he’s a handful in some moments, good as a creator rather than finisher, and then s bit soft and lazy at times. When he’s up for it, he’s great to watch.

That was crazy. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I was fearing the worst at 2-0 and 3-1. Our first halves have to improve but suppose should cut them some slack today considering the wind.
A few takeaways -
Ingham is more effective/better than McGing. Must start next game Amadi-Holloway > Inman up front. Inman isn’t a striker Mauk is better further up the pitch JCP gives us much more balance when he’s in the side Whats happened to Bowles? Was quality a few seasons ago and now is mistake prone There’s alot of heart in this team. Might not be as skillful as previous Roar sides but got the right attitude clearly as it takes alot to come back from that position.
