+x+x+x+x+x+xtitanic sinking image - Google Search Isn’t that picture from the Mariners Grand Final - all the plastics leaving early to get the bus home?? Nope, it;s BRFC. Help me out. When we won the NYL Grand Final, regularly reaching the W-Leagues Finals or winning the NPLW Queensland Grand Final? Yet we haven't been able to produce a decent seniors men's team or provide local players that seemingly win youth comps?. The owner and club management have a lot to answer to. Hi Everyone New here a supporter yes and keen observer. The current as is including the players that Fowler, is isolating are in my opinion all good. The problems is as follows . Fowler people management, and coaching ability as such. Tony Grant ex Everton a scout for mentioned club sacked by Marcel Brands TD Everton. Current TD at Roar not trusted at all. Senior or group has informed younger OZ players not say a negative word. FACT . He blasted playing group in changing room half time against NU. Someone here has leaked our game plan.?? Does not talk to Oz players at training. You have a left back in the Australian 23 side but not good enough for Roar. Senior Jurnos, and players confused. 5 players want out, Fowler reactive not Proactive. Not sure I’d believe all that but questions over TG need to be asked - same with Ross and JA, getting the coaching team right is critical so how good is TG?
Being blasted at half time vs WU. Think that was in the press so likely true - but so what, they deserved blasting.
The “confused” bit is intriguing - JA had the same complaint do either someone is recycling old comments or they’ve hired a coach with the same issue. Wouldn’t like to bet which one it is because they certainly don’t look like they know what they’re doing.
And five players “want out” - good, can they go in January or will they bleed us dry for the next 4 months??

It sounded so bizarre for him to be saying this publicly. It came across as completely unprofessional at best, or absolutely deluded.

If its true RF thinks someone(a player) leaked the game plan, then either he is losing his marbles or its true and he has lost the dressing room . Neither scenario suggests RF will be here long term. To leak a game plan you would have to be really pissed off and know players in NJ's.........There are three options and you dont have to be a genius to guess who.
If five players want out, that wouldnt be hard to work out either. There are quite a few who arent getting much game time.... Mells,Akbari,Ingham,Pepper,McGing&O'Toole. Then ROF,Inman &AH would not be that happy either.
If Roar get dicked today we will know RF is in trouble.

I don't know about the game plan being leaked. You'd have to be a complete arshole to do that, cause you really stabbing your teammates in the back more so than the manager.
More likely Ernie has worked out Roars game plan on the run, which for s bloke like Ernie wouldn't be too difficult.
Someone's come off and said "it looks like they knew our game plan" jokingly or otherwise and RF jumped on it.
Every coach has heard that comment more than once, if only in an attempt to shed some blame from themselves. Nothing new there. But id bet that's what it was about, nevertheless RF should have kept it to himself and maybe fronted the likely culprit behind closed doors.

As for 5 players want to leave, I can think of 5 I'd let go tomorrow.
but where do they think they gonna get another gig on this years performances.
Wanting to leave and actually putting your hand up to rip up your contract is two different tjings, I'd suggest.
Hiwever i think RF could well shed 5 and use the savings sign a quick cback in the shape of Bart Schenkveld or similar and a striker who can finish, preferably with pace in the shape of Le Fondre.
The hierarchy appear to have not given him the cash to sign players of that quality.

Interesting statements from bozza tonight about how roar as a club is suffering from high expectations after the glory days. This statement is completely true and I think the club sometimes likes to think that those glory days were only yesterday but they are over 5 years ago. There is always social media posts flashing back to the glory days but I think there needs to be more emphasis on the present.

Very true - how many times do we name Broich in comparison to this current team without giving credit (discredit) to the teams between. To some extent, we write off the hideous seasons and simply forget them when we look to our current squad. Hopefully tonight's improvement continues - I think most will agree we have a long way to go to contend but at least by tonight we are heading in the right direction.

+xNice win but nervy in the last 15 We went Mariners (Grand Final) in the last 15 - stupidly hanging tight at the back and leaving Wanderers free to run at us when maintaining a sensible (standard slow Roar type) attack would have given us our possession and less intense pressure. Bloody nervy! Glad when we did hold up play we did not run to corners but made Wanderers keep chasing - that part of the last 15 minutes was good to see. Intelligent.

Good win. Same problems but played a lot better and a lot less stupid mistakes. You know it was one of the better games when Young had to do fuck all.
O' Shea and Muratovic had good games.

O’Shea was actually quite good, some excellent touches, some quite smart and away from tight and areas and into space. His intelligence is higher than the rest of the team on the ball.
Muratovic looks good, more game time and he’ll start scoring once his confidence gets higher.

City at home next week will be a good test. I think muratovic has proved himself to start again. ROD might find himself playing off the bench. I think inman has proven that he's a full time starter now. Interesting to what happens to dwh now that muratovic is on the scene.

O’Shea is by far Brisbane’s best player. He stands out in a bad team and in a better team he could be very very good. Skilful, aware, has a lot of quality attributes. I’d take him as a Ninko replacement at Sydney.

Gotta give muratovic a big hand, kid must be a train wreck tonight. First two aleague starts and plays full games. Big heart son.
AAH looked ok too with Mura. Can't see ROD starting if those 2 are fit.
O'shay decent, surprised how deep he played tho and got caught for first goal. But defending is probably not his best attribute.
Neville , Aldred, Gillesphey showed desperation tonight.
Gotta back it up tho over next few weeks.

Probably picked there for his experience even though he’s not a natural defender as the first goal showed.

No team has played more away games than Roar. No team has played fewer home games than Roar. They have to make that count in the next month or two:
City. Nix. Adelaide. Perth. WSW.

Nice to get an away win.But it would be fool hardy to think this was anything than two poor teams ,with Roar getting the luck. Roar created few serious chances and against better teams both teams will struggle. Luckily CCM and NJ are equally poor amd other teams show vulnerabilities. PG,SFC and WP all good teams in form.

I think there’s only one better team, SFC although Glory look to have arrived in form.
All the rest are much the same but granted Nix look like they’ve got a backbone this year.
But if you follow Fowler’s logic and give him 8 additional “should have/could have” points Roar would be in second place and I think that’s a fair representation of the difference between bottom and top of the table, barring Sydney.
The Top 2 finish and likely Grand Finalists at this stage will be SFC and Glory. Positions 3-11 are all up for grabs.
It’s not actually a good look for the Comp - jack average and inconsistent sides should be put away regularly, instead there’s 9 jack average sides with only City and Nix showing any real flashes of class.

I didn't see the after game coach interviews. Did RF thank the officials for their contribution to BRs win? From what I've read on here there are a whole bunch of people who are prepared, at the drop of a hat, to stow away their morality for the sake of a W in the results column. Last nights game is indicative of why the game, in this country, is not taken seriously, and why it will continue to be a very minor player on the Aus sporting landscape. No blood bin protocols or replacement rules, no serious H.I assessment to be seen ,handball decisions which change from week to week. There is not a sport in this country which shoots itself in the foot, so frequently ,than football.

There is not a sport in this country which shoots itself in the foot, so frequently ,than football. It’s not the sport that shoots itself in the foot, it’s vocal fans who have to be angry about something, anything, and will take to social media in spades.
“There’s no blood bin protocols” - there are, presumably you think they should be changed so, how would you change them?
Babel summed it up in his post match interview - “I’ll have to look at why it took them so long to fix him up” ... the WSW medical staff tried to send him back on with blood flowing, every coach knows you can’t do that.
And every week, in every league in the world, teams go down to ten men while an injury is treated. In most cases they don’t concede and in some (like Sydney last week) ten men actually score and win the game - why couldn’t WSW defend with ten men?
(when the goal was scored Wanderers had 6 defenders on 4 attackers, why wasn’t that numerical advantage enough?).
“Handball decisions which change from week to week” - it’s hard not to feel sorry for WSW after just week. But Aldred’s was not a handball under any stretch of the rules, and WSW still had 45 minutes to run the game but they’re getting so caught up in “the worlds against us” they’re forgetting to play football. Roar last season did the same.
