ual wrote:Ahahaha, oh lawd. Ok so the girl who I posted about before is back with her ex and has been for a couple of weeks. Yeah great, I'm pissed off but what do you do. She keeps posting instagram photos of her/him/both of them detailing every minor fucking thing he does that isn't cuntish (which now that I think about it is quite rare ) with the hashtag "#bestboyfriendaward". What I feel when I see it is like a mix of rage, bewilderment and pity
Every day I get a little bit closer to just cutting her out of my life completely, especially seeing as when we hang out she won't fuck up about the cockhead. You should. If I didn't have to network i'd cut everyone who used instagram out of my life as well ;) Sorry, in all seriousness, what is your end game continuing to associate with a girl like that?

I always say I'm not going to let people in, but then I always end up caring too much about them to shut them out. I suppose it's for the best that I'm not seeing him?

 so I tried to call her all day to tell her I was gonna come over and tell her I'm cutting her out of my life, but she doesn't pick up at all. Cool, I'll just leave a message so she knows. Then 15 minutes before kickboxing starts she calls me and we have an argument, she says shit like "you can't just say you're coming over, Cockface lives here now too" which made me laugh/shake my head in bewilderment. She then said "it's no wonder I don't wanna be your friend because you hate the person I'm in love with". More lols. Eventually I just said have a nice life, I hope your shitty life plan comes to fruition, she ended it by saying "don't come over or I'll have to call the police" which made me laugh harder than I have done all week. She hung up.
They're both literally insane, good riddance

Problem solved, ual.
She'll regret it when 'cockface' leaves her behind and her insanity starts to wear off, but you'll have the last laugh.

That'll wear off quickly like it did last time and she'll find herself regretting her idiotic choices. According to her best mate (who I'm also good friends with now) the only thing that stopped her from staying with me was my "lack of a life plan" I'm fucking 20 years old, man

ual wrote: the only thing that stopped her from staying with me was my "lack of a life plan" I'm fucking 20 years old, man  when i was 19 or so i pulled out of physio @ uni as i couldn't see the money and motivation for it anymore, and i didn't enroll for anything for second semester that uni year. i knew i was heading back for further studies eventually, i just didn't know what. i picked up full-time work as a trades assistant and was happy with a constant wage while i figured out what i was doing with my life. i had podiatry, osteopathy, science, defence force & teaching in my mind at the time, but nothing jumped out at me. the mrs at the time was fuming with me, and thought that even though i didn't want to do physio that i should have stayed at uni because my class-level in society was seriously downgraded by going from FT uni student to trades assistant (that's how she saw life). she cheated on me heaps and turned into a total bitch, and (when it came out that she cheated on me heaps) used the excuse that i had no goals in life and had no direction. after doing TA work for half a year to a year i asked if i could do work experience in the engineering department as i wanted to see how the workings of what we were making happened. i loved it, worked in there for a few months & then enrolled into engineering at uni. now i'm 23.5, own a house, am married & have been given huge responsibilities at my work and am the lead designer on some huge mining projects worth millions. my ex didn't keep her marks up for advanced science and graduated with an ordinary science degree at sydney uni, and couldn't get honours/phd like her original plans. she's euro-tripping it currently so she can find herself, i've been told (we share a mutual friend still, but i haven't spoken to the ex since the break-up). smooth move by her, in the end. i suspect you'll have a similar tale to tell one day, ual

It's amazing the way in the last 4 years Marconi's maturity has actually managed to regress.

LOLOLOL I just found a polaroid picture of me and the girl taken a day before she broke it off that says "true love" at the bottom. What pleases me is that after seeing it I didn't feel anything aside from extreme relief that I've dodged an insane bullet

Hi guys, it's someone on the forum from another account here. I only made this because my name is in the username and so I don't want to be found just in case.
Well, the girl I like hangs out with the same group I'm in at school (I'm fairly new to the group) and well talking to one of the other guys in the group alone, he asks me if I like the girl I mentioned. I said yes, thinking that he would keep that secret. But that's not the problem. I asked myself how did he know? Have I made it obvious that I like her? Looking back I probably did make it obvious. But I want to know if she knows that, because she seems to act normal around me and doesn't feel weird talking to me.
Yeah that's my problem. I'm feeling pretty anxious right now and not really sure what to do. I'm also sure she just likes me as friend.

Edited by Helpme: 13/2/2013 08:16:15 PM Been in that situation before. Painfully obvious I liked a girl, we got on like chums, then I was friendzoned. Not a lot you can do other than just making your feelings known to her.

Just let her know how you feel. If she feels the same, awesome, if she doesn't then that sucks. Since this is a group of friends you hang out with, if she's not interested then things shouldn't really be too awkward as long as you back off.
It's up to you whether or not the risk is worth taking, but I'd recommend just having a chat to her about it - nothing ventured, nothing gained. Though don't be too quick to take my advice, the only sort of relationship I've been in was a trainwreck

The chances of her becoming either your wife or a life-long friend are minimal. One day in the future you will regret not putting it out there just to find out.
