It does have a fair bit to do with politics especially in regards to SSM, Abortion, Euthanasia and palliative care and Education. It's not entirely detached from politics at all.

I see a lot of media outlets trying to drum up the controversy (and shame on them for trying) but as someone that follows a lot of "leftists" on social media, most people don't give a fuck.

My Facebook is full of my right leaning friends posting about him , yet no one is bitting. Which is funny since one of  my friends is a big fan but didn't actually know who he was up until 6 weeks ago , now all he does is posts about  the left and how their gonna destroy the country. Someone told him to put his account on private since he works for PepsiCo and don't like it when one of their management team posts derogtry posts

Lol BLM is on a level with ANTIFA, opposing it doesn't make you a racist. The message of inequality in policing in the USA has been completely lost by BLM. Opposing feminism like the nonsense Clementine Ford comes up with doesn't make you a sexist. 

Having links to a neo-Nazi group doesn't make you a white nationalist any more than knowing a muslim would indicate links to ISIS.

You see Milo lives on accusations like this. This is his bread and butter. Riled up lefties, feminists and the like get baited so easily by him that its almost sad. All the attempts to ban him from speaking only reinforces his points and makes him more famous.

BLM is not on the same level with ANTIFA. BLM are simply protesting inequality. ANTIFA on the other hand uses violence against neo-nazis which allows the right to play the victim. I don't agree with everything Ford says but Milo goes further than that and simply has advocated for women to be discriminate against.

Milo is only relevant because of the small minority of the left that want him banned. If people let him speak, then people will see how backward his views are and he will lose relevance as a result.

He won his seat back ... ironic that within a couple of weeks someone can "severe" all their conflicts of interest according to our Constitution, yet Sam is all good because he only accepted money.

BLM protests often became violent..... I don't discredit movements to address inequality of African Americans in the USA at all, just BLM started off that way and then became far more than just a rights movement. If you're upset about inequitable treatment from police, violence in rioting isn't really going to change many minds....

In Australia it may be a very small minority but he does make international news. Remember the reaction to his invitation to speak at Berkeley in California? Trying to stop him speaking only inflates his free speech rhetoric. 

I have absolutely no love for the man, I actually googled some of the stuff he says about women and its pretty retarded. It diminishes anything even remotely constructive when taking on the feminist movement in the USA. I do however enjoy seeing people get riled up by him, it's hilarious. 

Makes me wonder sometimes if some of these people are not extensions of an internet troll. That is, are doing their thing to cause a stir for shits and giggles. Let's face it, it's pretty easy to troll both sides of the political spectrum and hundreds of people do it everyday on the net ... so isn't that far of a stretch to think people would do it in a more visual and public forum.

There was recently a circumstance where a group, Project Verita who are set up primarily to "trick" media, tried to trick the Washington Post into publishing a story about an sexual assault case against a senator. The Post however found that the "victim" was actually an actor for this Project Verita group. This group does it for a bit more sinister reasons than simple trolling though, they are trying to discredit media by setting them up to report false allegations / news, with the goal of then being able to discredit their other work (in this case trying to dismiss the other allegations against this senator). They should have targeted Sunrise, or ACA ... much easier targets!

But as you can see it wouldn't be too far fetched if it came out Milo (or some others of his elk) were simply portraying a character .. .in effect Ali G and Borat managed to do it for many years, even with the show being televised and shown as a parody / satire.
