what amazes me is the level of funding they get and how it ramped up under the socialists.....oh and for VERY VERY good reason....but when you think about it pouring $$$ into the ABC is cheaper than campaign advertising for the socialists and following their mantra it's even better to spend tax $$$ than waste union $$$$

Is your only retort to go on about what Labour did or didn't do?

And you said you weren't a staunch LNP supporter

I was agreeing that Robb was a top fella and this is how you react.

Starting to think you have Tony posters in your lounge room or something.

He's not a staunch LNP supporter because of that thing they did in 199x where he was mad enough to vote Labor.

no worries pauly.......post read like you were licking ALP arse..... and no i don't have Abbott posters on the wall, would much rather of had a different LNP PM, but it is what it is..and IMHO they are not as bad as the previous bunch of goons...i know i will be shouted down, and so be it......but the previous government cost me megabucks and i can't forgive them for it and their poor implementation of policies and red tape is hurting business big time.....i don't like how either of the parties support the big end of town when it is quite obvious small to medium business is what carries the country.......and the protection Rudd afforded the banks is just shameful and a disgrace

Hard to say this about her but she did the right thing.

Those laws were a shithouse idea to start with.

Fucking government needs to remember they're supposed to be doing the right thing by the people not what some bunch of cunce in the finance industry want.

How anyone can think that not having to disclose your commissions and how your money is tied up is beyond a joke.

All of this from clown "financial advisers" who, in the main, did an 8 day course to become qualified.

http://www.smh.com.au/business/banking-and-finance/cheating-rife-in-financial-planning-20140815-104gkn.html

Senator John Williams, who is a member of the parliamentary joint committee, says: “You can walk out a shearing shed and do an eight-day crash course and then go and tell people how to invest their life savings. Something is wrong.”

Where's Rusty? Does no one want to discuss actual policy here?

Rusty, talk me through Campbell's (proposed) 300 million dollar handout to Adani. Surely, in line with Liberal party ideology, either the project is commercially viable, and in no need of government assistance, or it's not a goer.

Isn't that the raison d'etre of the Tories?

Was it a fucked policy? From the top of my I can't remember what it was.

But here's the difference between you and me. If I think the policy is fucked I'll say it's fucked whether it's Labour or Liberal.

NBN good. No business case done for the NBN - fucked.

I'm not sure why you can't just say "yeah, you know what, that was a shit policy" instead of answering a question with a question.

I won't think anything less of you just because you admit that parts of what the Liberal party are doing is rooted. The financial deregulation laws were bad from start to finish.

There are philosphocal arguments which are by definition not possible to win and then there's just common sense, right or wrong, take the pub test shit that is obvious one way or the other.

According to all reports it's viability is "commercially strong" which as you said begs the question as to why Government should be getting involved.

Adani's competitor is also looking at building a railway line in the exact same corridor (albeit one that will go further south) however the Deputy Premier said it was unlikely to go ahead.

I wonder if that is because Adani is going to slug more cash to let theirs be the only one that is passed?

that's your opinion and you are entitled to it...................

i don't automatically think anyone who disagrees with me is a labor goon.....usually it's the comments that they make that lead me to think that.....

i am not surprised that it is hard for you people to work that out....but hey it's all good, i will continue to tolerate your ignorance

You fail to understand the difference between being a Labor goon and hating the Liberal party. I too tolerate your ignorance ;)

How many times have you accused people of being leftists in this thread, exactly?

I could go back and count, but everyone knows that us pinko commie bastards aren't very good with numbers.

Don't really care to be honest, it's just a bit dull that's all. Some new banter would be good. May be asking too much.
