The mood 2020 needs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgPXtQQnQ-k&ab_channel=NASA

That said, I'm glad I didn't post in advance about yesterday's launch due to NASA's embarrassing effort taking over SpaceX's stream of the Sentinel 6-Michael Freilich mission, but I'm looking forward to SpaceX's own broadcast of their own Starlink mission tomorrow off their own bat.

It'll be the seventh time the same rocket has flown to space. SpaceX leaving everyone else on the ground.

The 100th launch of the Falcon 9 rocket (I think including Falcon Heavy) is scheduled for 1:55pm AEDT today, it'll be the seventh flight for this particular rocket, and the third for its fairings. Will post stream link when it's up.

Seppos cheering and carrying on like they're in a late night TV show audience.

Landing of the boosters is the coolest bit.

I don't blame them in honestly. Beyond cool.

The progress SpaceX is making is genuinely groundbreaking and represents the beginnings of spaceflight becoming obtainable for the average person.

The next civilian flight for dragon will aim to have a higher apogee than the the Gemini 11 spacecraft, which was 1200km or so. That will make it the highest ever earth orbit by a crewed spacecraft.

A crewed trip around the moon is not far away.

I watch a lot of these launches. The best bit is the boosters landing back on land or on the drogue ships they have. But every bloody time they land it on a ship the video clags out before they land it.

#dearmoon would probably have already happened by now if not for the switch to Starship. Can't wait to see that full stack fly.
