Why doesn't Bran just go full pinga and be some ravens down south and tell everyone what the fuck is going on so they can, you know, make good decisions? Oh wait, that's logical. How the fuck can Dany not see a giant fucking fleet right next to her castle when she's in the air on a fucking dragon? And how the fuck didn't one of the dragons see the fleet? How the fuck did they capture Missandei when their fleet was shown a) underwater or sinking and, b) Euron's fleet was fucking nowhere near it. Did Missandei swim towards their ships or was she magically transported by the plot?

Can they explain how the fuck Arya crept up on the Night King, a superhuman being capable of withstanding dragon fire, whilst surrounded by his generals and dead soldiers? How can a tiny woman achieve such a leap and moment of surprise? Are there any moments in this season that are directed by decisions and consequences of the characters instead of the audience?

Yeah, I don't really understand the ambush part of the story. 

I also do not understand how people laden down by extremely heavy clothes could make it to shore. Surely they should have all drowned. 

D+D are terrible writers and have turned this show shit once they ran out of GRRM material.

God only knows what they'll do to Star Wars.

Dany and like a handful of troops and 1 Dragon at the gate, why all this posturing and "evil villain smirking" tropes instead of just fucking opening fire right there and then and slaughtering the kents.

I think the difference is everything in the lore and mythology mattered for LOTR. It was worth investing time learning every detail about the world and each character. But in this you felt like you wasted a lot of time by reading deeper into the book

The shift to mad queen Dany was just too abrupt. Poorly executed. I’m happy with the overall story line but how it planned out was terrible. All this hype about the Golden Company. Ballistas being useless now. Armies marching half a continent in 2 days. No internal consistency.

So she destroys everything that was taken from her family years ago - I would have thought she would have wanted it back for herself.

The Hounds last stand - I'm sorry seeing him gone, his character was classic.
Jamie despite multiple stabs keeps going for Cersie to be crushed alive together lol.....I would have preferred a dragon roasting her tbh.

Perhaps it could have been better done but if see this as a 'u turn' you should go back and re watch the whole series. She's done horrid things from the beginning.

There's nothing unsurprising about Dany's actions. I don't even count it as a 'turn', it was heavily hinted at since the beginning. 

My only issues are with the execution, even just 1 more episode fleshing out her internal thoughts and the conflicts would have significantly impacted its execution in a positive way.
