I haven't had a pop in ages...forgot to set a friendly for last week too...need to ff-load a defender who isnt' doing shit all for me.

My two best trainees:

18 years and 75 days, TSI = 5 770
In solid form, inadequate stamina. [Technical]
Has disastrous experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

Keeper:----1/20 disastrous
Defending:-------3/20 poor
Playmaking:10/20 outstanding
Winger:----------3/20 poor
Passing:------6/20 passable
Scoring:----5/20 inadequate
Set pieces:-------4/20 weak

18 years and 66 days, TSI = 4 170
In passable form, weak stamina.
Has wretched experience and passable leadership abilities.

The rest of my trainees are around 17 yo, and are either Excellent, or Formidable with passable/solid passing.

The 442 comp lost interest this season, but I'm guessing it might start up again next season. By the way, there are 2 weeks of the season left. One more game of regular season then qualifiers the following week.

is it too late to participate in the 442 league for this game? i'm thinking about signing up

Got a 20 year old with excellent scoring and passable defending on sale for 500k if anyone's interested.

Also, next week should have a 21 year old brilliant defender for sale too. Perhaps 2 of them if I'm lucky.

Popped today :) Very nice. His wages are going to kill me soon though.

Things like scoring, wing, etc doesn't score at all. The other three stats I mentioned are the only ones that contribute to his overall ability other than keeping, experience, form and stamina.

I knew Passing was important - which is why my IM trainees have passable or higher passing - but i thought everything but keeper, defending and set-pieces were relatively worthless on keepers.

Passing is good for all players. Passing makes about 0.5% difference in a players contribution. Defending will make around 2-3% difference and SP will make 3-4% difference.

I know set-pieces and defending is a valuable skill for a Keeper to have, but does passing really have that great an effect on their value?

A couple of my PM trainees should pop to Outstanding soon. Probably before they turn 19 too.

Train him for set pieces or passing and his value will go up HEAPS if you plan to sell.

I won 6-0 today. Striker scored a hattrick, putting him on level pegging with first for the golden boot. Second by virtue of goals:games ratio.

Won 10-0 against a bot team. One of my strikers scored 4 goals, shooting him to the top of the league in goals.

Playing team above me. Had two brilliant defenders go off before 25mins - one to injury, one to suspension.

Went down 1-3, but pegged them back to 3-3 in the 84th and won it in the 86th. :D \:d/ \:d/

I've been training my keeper since he was solid.

He is now magnificent. 20yrs / 40days.

Keepers have a longer career span and you'll get more for them at a more mature age. It comes down to their experience level. But a solid keeper coming out of your academy with a solid coach can potentially be at Magnificent level with Solid passing by the time he's 21.

I bought an outstanding keeper age 20 for just over 3m, he's now 22 and worth a little under 5m according to TC.

When is the best time to sell them? When they're 21?

Keepers train faster than any other player, naturally this is because there are only two trainees you can have at a time.

I'd recommend training them until they pop, and then training them for set pieces or passing for a couple of weeks so that pops too because a keeper with Outstanding keeping and solid or better passing or SP will be worth 50% more on the open market than an outstanding keeper without those secondaries. Even defending makes them a more efficient keeper, but it's a much smaller percentage than SP and Passing.

Do/have you train Keeper? If so, do you have any advice?

There's a lot of money to be made in keeper training if you do it right. :-$

I'm in my 2nd and a half season, and i'm mid-table in V.

I'm currently training PM, but i'm switching to Keeper training after i sell my batch of trainees.
