+x+x+x+x+x+xMabil still on the bench. He was starting and scoring. If we had the time, it'd be cool to see Mabil, Borrello, Williams and Ikonomidis on the flanks to gauge the future. John Roberts & Pasquali need to be fast tracked . If they are in limbo in a few years time you would have to be looking for reasons why... FFA... our shit domestic comp , youth systems etc I really hope Pasquali comes through at Ajax. He's in a good environment and by the sounds of it is starting to understand the intensity required to play European football. He's young enough to "un-learn" all the things he was shown in Australia as long as he hangs tough and rides the ups/downs. Don't coaches need to have the proper licenses to teach at the FFV and Melbourne Victory? He probably got some good training then but probably not to the standard of Ajax He said the following in a recent interview: “We train up to nine times a week and have one to two games a week. It’s a different environment and you’re receiving amazing coaching from players who’ve played at the likes of Barcelona and obviously Ajax as well. “They just pass all their knowledge to the youth. I couldn’t be in a better place I think. If you don’t improve in this environment... I don’t know. “It’s all down to you. If you put 100% in every day then you going to get something out of it. It’s really good to realize you’ve got the best facilities around you to improve and you just have to turn up everyday and do your best.”
A lot different to what he would have been receiving at the FFV & MV. All well and good but I feel something still goes amiss with our juniors. Probably the ability to interpret the knowledge they are receiving. It's one thing listening another putting into action. Hope Pasquali can do that but past players come on, have obviously been unable to do that. Kaz Patafta , wizz kid ? Yes agreed but the environment overseas is clearly better than staying at home. If you're 16 and have aspirations of becoming a top class player, you should move to Europe...ideally to one of the better football academies.

Dougall starting in a league that the new coach would be very familiar with might be good for him. There's plenty of other boys playing much less that have been getting a look in. Maybe if Bert stays on post World Cup we might see him given a chance. Can't imagine too many unknown quantities being picked in the friendly squads or the WC squad.

Bayern up two goals now, hopefully Yeboah gets a good run at them.
Pleased to see that they are on top of 3 Liga, maybe he'll stay with them if they go up.
