All well and good but I feel something still goes amiss with our juniors. Probably the ability to interpret the knowledge they are receiving.
It's one thing listening another putting into action. Hope Pasquali can do that but past players come on, have obviously been unable to do that. Kaz Patafta , wizz kid ?

Yes agreed but the environment overseas is clearly better than staying at home. If you're 16 and have aspirations of becoming a top class player, you should move to Europe...ideally to one of the better football academies.

Tim Cahill played and scored in his debut for Milwall Under 23s.

Former Jerk Kristian Brymora opened the scoring for Milwall in that game, before Coventry equalised before Cahill's winner.

Awesome, especially considering that Jong Ajax looked like it was back to it's first choice side.

Iredale with a goal and assist for Jong Heerenveen vs Jong Feyenoord. This seems to be in a type of youth league but it is hard to tell the quality with a lot of dutch U23 sides moving into the dutch league pyramid. I would say this is easily lower than Jong Ajax in the second tier.

His assist is probably better than his goal (hence why he tweeted his assist only) as his shot seems scuffed

Assist: 1:17:50
Goal: 1:26:06

Doesn't look like a scuffed shot to me. That looked well placed

Dougall starting in a league that the new coach would be very familiar with might be good for him. There's plenty of other boys playing much less that have been getting a look in. Maybe if Bert stays on post World Cup we might see him given a chance. Can't imagine too many unknown quantities being picked in the friendly squads or the WC squad.

check out this kent..

He said: "The manager was the main reason [I joined], Harry Kewell. He was at Watford as a youth coach and I've played against his teams over the years. I've caused him a few problems and hopefully I can cause problems with him.

"That was the main thing, joining Harry. I cut the teams down [who were interested in signing him] and went with my gut instinct and Harry was my gut instinct."

Curtis Good played a full match for the U23s and scored an own goal.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Mooy and Meredith starting. No Cahill Meredith has to make the next squad. I can see it happening.

Berti said it's about quality and Meredith is doing well and there are exceptions for those playing in worse leagues. Form and quality should get you picked. I'll believe it when I see it.

This from John Grimaud Leckies agent who may also be Kwames. Shame.

Unfortunately Kwame rolled his ankle in the warm-up and missed the game. Padderborn very good taking the game to Bayern but Munich has too much quality & class.
