Wow, they play quite composed and well. Sains involved in the passing and build up.

Behich with a few bobble touches. Seems ok though.

It's like watching the NT, but with better forwards and forwad movement inevitably.

Goal! All right side though.  easy tap in. Don't think they'll be losing this one.

Sains attempts a long ball over top to the right winger. Uncharacteristically way over his head out of field. Might have a few nerves.

On the converse, gee Behich with the clean up and head back to keeper in a risky situation. Mops up well, then attempts a pass downfield almost pin point to striker peeling off the shoulder.

lol Sainsbury scored a header

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Good to see Gersbach get that break. I wonder how bad the injury for Meling is?

So Arzani doesn't start.
I don't think you'll see him start in the first team this side of Christmas if at all this season except if injuries hit Celtic badly
I don't think Rodgers rates him.

I don't think Rodgers rates him.

Arzani is royally ****ed at Celtic. A team that look like a bigger tadpole in a shit league, with injuries, in a league cup clash, that they can barely fall over the line in.

Rogic has saved Celtic this past 3 seasons. If it weren't for rogic , Rodgers would have possibly been out the door.

That he isnt even giving arzani a bench in a crap cup game, well, if arzani isnt injured then Rodgers must be being stubborn.

Rogic is now going nowhere and needs to get out of there or he will start regressing,  which I think he has anyway.

Get game time or ask for a loan son

Not a good look for young Daniel when he gets booked for diving then hooked a few minutes after it. Needs to cut that shit out of his game or he'll just make things harder for himself. An article I read said the opposing teams defenders were laughing at him about it, not sure if there was any truth to it or not and i haven't seen the footage but must have been an embarrassing flop.

We all know Celtic are a huge club with huge support, and its still early days for him but it could develop into a pretty frustrating season because it seems Rodgers hands were tied with the signing in the first place.

He's my favourite Socceroo but at the end of the day he needs stop playing with nerf guns and earn it...which somewhat frustratingly he obviously hasn't for whatever reason.

I’m still willing to chill on Arzani until after the Asian Cup.

There may be good reasons, we don’t know.

From January onwards though there will be no excuse after 4 months of ‘pre season’ they were after.

I swear what he does only counts as diving in a few leagues in the world
He really gets fouled when he is falling. He may exaggerate, but the ref needs to give more protection to players

Total nonsense, who are we talking about here A-League Defenders ? They can laugh at Arzani and arzani can laugh at their careers. Technical players aren't respected in Australia which only hurts us at the end of the day

Best reason is finding a game where Celtic can safely play him without him adding to their current list of issues.

The worst situation you see is when fans call for key players to be played and then they lose that game.

Rodgers is up against it more and more each game. And a 1-0 win doesn't exactly inspire confidence

Yeh, not even putting him on the bench in the league cup is just another example of Rodgers being "gentle" towards Arzani. Really makes sense.

Doesn't look like it was mentioned but Zwolle won 1-0 in the cup, Genreu came off the bench in the 60th minute at RM. From what I remember he has been playing on the left this season.

Some names i haven't seen mentioned from overnight:

James Holland played 90 for LASK Linz in a 8-0 away win in a cup game.
Degenek played 90 in a 3-0 away win in the league.
Jurman played 90 minutes for Al-Ittihad in a 2-2 draw in the league.
Jeggo played 90 minutes for Austria Vienna in a 2-0 cup win over Sturm Graz.
Federici conceded 3 for Stoke in a 3-2 league cup loss to Nottingham Forest.
Reno Piscopo played a full 90 for Renate in a 1-0 loss in Serie C.

Vukovic rested on the bench for Genk's cup match.
No Kwame Yeboah for Fortuna Koln in their league match.

Settle down hes only 15 turning 16 ffs!

Lesson learned don't hype young players that are in big club overseas in their teens, see Brad Smith and Jake Brimmer as evidence, but i wish the lad all the best but let him develop to a level he feels comfortable with.
