+x+x+x+xSusnjar starting at LB if I'm not mistaken. +xRyan Williams starting again in the championship. Got me perplexed how he doesnt get a mention in socceroos contention. Him Mabil Boyle all defs future wingers He'll be given chances for sure if he keeps playing regularly at that level Plays one game in the Championship. All of sudden he must be called up. Deary me, we must be desperate. As opposed to the blokes playing in the Scottish and Danish leagues Mabils team would absolutely hammer Rotherham. So too Celtic and probably hibs in their current form. Rotherham is A league level. And Williams isn't even a star player for them What you said.

So still alive after an incredibly frustrating football day. Huddersfield are just terrible. Ryan was immense.
Leckie wasn't even in the squad. He doesn't offer much in regards to scorer points compared to all the others. He's extremely on the outer with Lazaro, Dardai and Dilrosun in wing positions then Duda and even Köpcke was signed with the intention of playing.
Call me alarming but I think a winter loan to Düsseldorf or Nürnberg would be a good idea.

+xAnyone think mooy will Huddersfield in January? Hope he jumps ship early. He's carried them for 3 years and the buck stops here I think. Wagner has completely stuffed up signing all his bundesliga buddies who were never the grade in Germany anyway and overpaying for Kolongo plus only using Depoitre up front.

Either way they're at a level that's probably beyond Leckies ceiling

Mooy would probably be better off going to a championship club in the hunt for promotion such as Leeds. His form has dropped below premier league standard. Getting minutes is important, but getting bad minutes does more harm than good.

You get these guys on fire at a lower tier or even a lower club in a top tier and they ooze that confidence versus one stuck in a rut at a high level.

+x+x+xMaty Ryan hey. Love that Brighton team. Hudderfield however, maybe prematurely won promotion with that dire attacking team. Really exposed now, their lack of firepower anywhere. That is the issue with premature promotions, had the smallest budget more or less in the Championship, relied on loanees to get that promotion and spent a lot of money to sign one of those loanees permanently in Mooy. They then somehow stayed up last season but unfortunately for them the dross has been cleared out of the league now. I thought Hudders on promotion really didn't make any big signings to solidify the squad at the EPL level, hence the struggle. They spent their promotion money on the stadium etc. Spent money on the stadium? Surely that is the stupidest bit of future planning I've ever heard. Wtf Get the squad winning first , even when they stayed up last season they were just as horrible to watch.

+x+xHow do you get ready for promotion. That's why you have a transfer window. No one on this planet would refuse going up to somehow better prepare themselves. Not to mention, Huddersfield stayed up in their second season so one would say they were successful. I didn't say refuse to get promoted, just said you run into major issues when you over-achieve in the championship. They are a small club, who invest less than all other premier league clubs and came up with the weakest squad in the first place. Short term fun, not necessarily great long term when they come crashing back into the championship with inflated wages on the shit premier league players they took a punt on. Stupist thing was they were signing decent championship players instead of like you say shit premier league players. Which you could argue is probably worse

Either way they're at a level that's probably beyond Leckies ceiling Kalou and Selke have been pretty dominant. Not sure about the rest. Leckie is still a good sub off the bench , if they're up. Defensively strong. Just doesn't offer much up front other than a short run in a str8 line or a header lifted over to someone else. His crosses aren't the deadliest you'd want for a winger

Premier League is fantastic for little clubs like Huddersfield. It brings in a massive influx of funds plus parachute payments when they go down. As long as the club spends responsibly and doesn't break the bank (and Hudders certainly haven't), a shortish premier league adventure can result in a significant windfall. I think Huddersfield are just ecstatic they've hung on for 2 years. It should leave the club in a much better financial position than before the promotion.

Aussie manager Mehmet Durakovic won the Malaysia Cup with Perak last night. Down 2 goals in the first half, they scored immediately after half time, then Aussie Brendan Gan (sydney fc) scored the equaliser in the 1st minute of stoppage time. In Extra time they went down early then equalised via an own goal. Game went to penalties and Perak won.

Amini starting away to Copenhagen Holland starting against Salzburg McGrath (Esbjerg) was a 75th minute sub 90 for Holland, ended 3-3.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Wagner has completely stuffed up signing all his bundesliga buddies who were never the grade in Germany anyway and overpaying for Kolongo plus only using Depoitre up front. There's zero chance he'll go in January, even if he wants to. A club would have to offer well over the odds to get him, enough that Hudders could use the money to transform their team, and no club is going to offer that kind of money for him. Selling him in January is essentially Hudders giving up.

I think Huddersfield are just ecstatic they've hung on for 2 years. It should leave the club in a much better financial position than before the promotion. Remember reading that the CEO in the first year wanted to invest in the club first season in the EPL, as they had low expectation of staying up (let's face it most these teams only last a couple of years before going back down). I read somewhere that Huddersfield have set up financially their academy for the next 10 years or so with the fund. This season they had met most their long-term funding for the Club, so had a bit more available for transfers. I think the problem is that they still didn't have a huge transfer fund and probably bought the wrong players. I think Huddersfield have "played" it very well in the EPL (their play on the field not so much) and will be in a stronger position when they go down when they were in the Championship two seasons ago. Conversely look at Fulham who spent some $100M on players this season, pretty much a whole new starting 11. They look like going down this season too ... who made the wiser choices??

+xBrighton sitting pretty in 11th spot. Same amount of points as Man Utd.On ya Maty. 3 EPL clean sheats in a row when playing for a small team is a massive feat. Talk in Tottenham is they want Lloris out..he's had some real clangers lately.. seems like a good chance for Maty if he can keep up his form.
