He played 62mins in a 5-0 win over 4th tier Arezzo. Cuadrado got a half and so did Joaquin but it was a second string Fiorentina XI.

He got a 6.5 rating for his game. People said he worked hard in midfield but went missing a bit, but that was just down to experience. Has very good ideas when transitioning into attack.

Brilliante also played another friendly vs a lower Italian club I think. he started in a pretty weak central midfield combination. Don't know how long he played

Sarota made a break through before Oar to be fair. However, point taken.
In the end, our players only break through faster in weaker competitions where the gap between said league and the HAL (or the quality of the individual player) isn't actually that big.

To be fair Sarota is highly rated at Utrecht and was a consistent starter before he ACL injury. now he is on the comeback and still managing consistent squad selection, I’d say he has proven he is successful at this level (he's just had rotten luck in the past 12 months)

Apart from Oar who is rather an inconsistent performer who has actually made the breakthrough? Sainsbury has had a good start to this season and was unfortunate with injury on the back end of the season before that. Davidson had a decent season last year.

There are a few players who have made a good career for themselves in Holland. Of most recent memory, Culina, Emerton & Holman. If that is the benchmark, then plenty have failed to make the same impact thus far.

Think Rukavitsya, Holland, Babalj, Zullo, Sarota et al.

Giannou seems back and ready for the start of the season starting a friendly and playing 65 minutes. It was a disappointing 1-1 draw.

Mrcela also got his first start. He played the full 90 as they lost 3-2, all 3 of the oppositions goals came in a 6 minute spell from the 51st to the 57th minute. Don't know what the keeper was doing for the second. The third it seems Mrcela is the one jockeying the opposition, giving him a little too much room and he is unable to block the shot.

That is a misnomer. Ajax and Feyenoord have very good development academies but the rest of the league leave a lot to be desired.

Hmmm pretty much on twitter that he's simply been replaced. No suggestion of injury and he hasn't played well the last two games.

Dario just flashed a diving header wide from the penalty spot, from a very short range cross just inside the box . reflex strike but could have put it on target.... sion are starting to rally.. halftime now
