Son is on for Can and I would expect Kiessling to be given the full 90. Maybe Hegeler will come on in midfield and Kruse to come on for Sam. 18 to go 1-1.

...I am dissapoint? HT 1-1, hopefully Kruse will get his usual 20/30 mins, although as well as Son there's also Hegeler on the bench, who played an absolute blinder midweek. Edited by paladisious: 6/10/2013 04:32:01 AM

Son on the bench as well, interestingly. I wonder who will come on first?

Full match for Amini. 4-0 win. Rogic not in the Celtic squad...
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Re Amini; My view is that even if he doesn't crack the first eleven for Borussia Dortmund, his move there won't necessarily be a bad one, or a wrong one. The last game I saw him play was for the U20's against Holland, and I thought he was our best that day. He seemed to be developing his skills well. As long as he is training with the first XI and getting a few minutes for the reserves he will/should be improving.
It's his next club move which could be the vital one in terms of his career - if he moves to a decent league (Holland/Belgium/even Buli. 2) and gets consistent playing time I think he will start to reap the rewards

People forget amini is 20 and we want him for next world cup. If he breaks through at 22-23 we will be in awesome shape. Also I think because of Germany's population (compared to England) and that reserve teams are in the lower leagues the German 3rd division is not a bad place to be playing.

i have a gut feeling BVB are developing Amini more as a deep lying playmaker similar to the mould of a Gundogan that might suit his game more too given he's not the quickest on the field and he's short passing game is very good so he might be more suited in a deeper role.
To me this situation could be like how Culina was at Ajax in his younger days when he was playing for the reserves but couldn't crack through to the first team and eventually he had to leave for FC Twente and from there the rest is history so i hope Amini can go on to a similar path in the future, well he's hoping anyway.
If only Rogic choose a similar path like Amini... ](*,)

I really think Dortmund like Amini and they have plans for him. I reckon if he keeps working there he'll eventually crack the first team. He's still young. Also I think people here overestimate the importance of playing in the reserve team. Sometimes players over there will be training with the first team a lot and not playing in the reserves whilst another player will play every moment of reserves but never get a look into the first team. That's just how a lot of European teams work.

Now the half time sub possibly shows him playing badly but that was the one game the lost and they did worse after he went off on the scoreboard at least. In the lat game where he played the full 90 one of the injured players was back I think and he still got a full game. So from what I can tell he is doing alright but the next few weeks might be interesting if the other midfielders come back from injury and if he can stay in the starting lineup 45th minute substitute could have been due to a minor knock or injury as well. Something that did not stop him playing the next game. I wish there was a forum for bvb ii I haven't been able to find anything on him. I thought he was better than oar or leckie when he left so I suspect that within the next year or two he should be good enough to be a standout eredivisie player. Bvb first team is a huge ask on the other hand... Well if he can get into the squad like Hoffmann did this year people will be calling for him at the Asian cup. Gundogan has a decent chance of leaving and Kehl is not really playing so if they turn him into a utility mid he might get close to the squad.

He's been playing both, some games as a CB, some as a DM/CM (according to Kilmarnocks twitter anyway) :) That is what I thought but looked at transfermarket and it seemed to be saying otherwise. However it is not perfect. Only have watched one game live and he was CB. His most recent start was CM but a couple of the other games at CB according to the apps I use to follow which are not always 100%.

I read their fan forums (which someone here linked a week or so ago), most comments from fans made mention of him playing CB.
