They lost 3-2 to Port Vale. Pocognoli didn't play. He injured his groin and hip in their last game.

Yeah I think it's probably best for him to go out on loan.

He is set to start on Saturday against Porto.

It's more entertaining if you don't use blue font. People then take you way too seriously, and start chastising you, which makes it even more amusing.

Might be a few big names back for Dortmund in their friendly today. We shall see if Amini gets a run...

and all the guys in Korea played 90 minutes
Jeonbuk (Wilkinson) - 3-2 win. 1st
Geongnam (DeVere) - 1-1 draw. Dead last
Jeonnam (Cornthwaite) - 2-1 loss. 5th
Jeju (Jovanovic) - 3-2 loss. 4th

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I presume that's surrounding the sprinkler he fell on or some such from memory? It was indeed one of those bizarre kind kind of injuries - if I vaguely remember did the sprinkler popped up when it wasn't supposed to?! :-k His knee hit it, from memory, wasn't that the case/injury?! :-k

How many first teamers, first team midfielders, are out/rested for this friendly? :-k

Though either way, Amini on the bench seems particularly promising?!

Amini coming on now.

Not sure how many players Dortmund are resting but it looks like they played a much stronger starting eleven than their previous friendlies so no surprise Amini didn't start. Still promising he's getting a decent amount of game time in preseason though.

Amini looked very good. Too good to be in a 3rd division side even if it is Dortmund's reserves. He deserves some time in the 1st team and/or on loan.

Even he only had 10 minutes to impress, thats what he did! Set up 2 chances to Ji on the counter, the first one through between the lines with limited time flicked the ball on the ground one touch to Ji, beautiful skill he's shot was saved on the 1v1.

The second one he out muscled his opponent and played a through ball behind for Ji again he fluffed he's shot.

He could've had 2 assists during that time. =d>

Shame he didn't get more time to impress but what can you do...

I really believe the kid needs to go on loan, even he looks to be a improved player there is too much competition for him, and given he's age he's better of on loan anyway and playing competitive football, but he's one to watch for us come 2018. Potentially our perfect replacement for Bresc as our deep lying playmaker for the NT.

Cheers for that mate, good to hear too.

We can expect to see and hear more from Musti this season. This is it for him, his development path will either lead him to opportunities around the 1st's, or as some are saying, no doubt a loan move or a permanent move away if nothing gets going for him soon. Let's not forget, he's been there for 3 years now.

I am quietly very optimistic, and I daresay he will get time off the bench for the First's this season in some shape or form. Klopp has been saying the right things, and I expect Amini to start delivering

For those who want to know more about the Line-up etc...

Langerak
Schmelzer
Sokratis
Subotic
Piszczek
Kehl
Kirsch
Mkhitaryan
Jonas Hoffmann
Immobile
Aubameyang

Of the starters, it's safe to say only 3-4 players are not regulars in the Starting XI (Aubameyang, Hoffmann, Kirsch and Mitch). Sokratis and Subotic will come in and out as much as each other, but are certainly close enough to count as regs.
Immobile as should be expected will start for them season.
Hoffmann is a youngster who started to get minutes and showed good signs past year and a bit, he is a guy that has done what Amini will hope to emulate.

The chances of Amini having matured and being an exceptional player, having a lot more strings than we last saw, are pretty damn high! No reason not to get excited a lil :)

Highlights anyone? Sure, everyone loves highlights!

Unfortunately, we will not see Amini directly involved in any play, but from 1:59, we get to see what looks like a kid in a yellow top with that familiar looking haircut.
He is the fourth player to congratulate Ramos meaning he was the 4th best on the pitch at the time, period. The cameraman then goes on to show Klopp before the video ends. This clearly suggests that Amini will be the last player on the minds of the people, and Klopp, suffice to say, is the boss, or something...

In that video he makes 14 from 14 passes one clearance and 2 through balls that created chances with high speed good vision and accuracy

in all 3 games his passing has been around 90 percent or higher and he regularly completes difficult passes
his passing ability seems to rival bresciano at a very young age!
u fortunately his defensive contribution is non existe tat this stage so he needs a bit more time to develop before he is a serious contender I think

I am yet to see him make a mistake in passing as you typically see with a league players

does anyone know whats happening with Troisi? They settled his co-ownership but since then nothing. There was rumours of him leaving Italy but even that has been silent for a few weeks. I cannot see him getting a place in Juve's side especially as they look at playing 5-3-2.

Here is a image from reddit showing Juve's 1st and 2nd choice lineups.

You can't really fault Amini for his defensive work in last nights game. The other team didn't have enough of the ball for him to do any defensive work.
