Davidson is gone Is a loan better or getting a permanent gig elsewhere as a starter? I think he'll move to another club, a step down, and need a lot of time to break into the starting team there. It was so promising 12 months ago. I don't think Jason gone, before new manger even seen him at training but report saying WBA is paying £4 million bid for Callum McManama  so anything can happen Edited by adrtho: 20/1/2015 07:35:24 AM

The only hesitation I have about Burgess going to Scotland is that it might affect his decision on national allegiance. Other than that he'll be very busy at CB for Ross County, and linking up with Irvine. Good move.

You leave for a couple of days and the old Scotland is shit debate takes control of the thread. my two cents is pretty much this: paladisious wrote:The only hesitation I have about Burgess going to Scotland is that it might affect his decision on national allegiance. Other than that he'll be very busy at CB for Ross County, and linking up with Irvine. Good move. His games at the start of the season were from Magath being around and crazy by the looks of things. if Burgess and Irvine can help Ross County do better it will help them be in the shop window for both their parent clubs and future potential clubs. Even if County is shit, Burgess and Irvine are 19 and 21. If they are still looking for these loans at 24 I might worry. Always good Aussies playing together On a different topic Fiorentina and Empoli seemingly want to finish the Brillante deal this Thursday.

Anyone heard any news on Williams ? i.e how long he is supposed to be out for ? Middlesborough atm are in 4th spot and a promotion chance although they seem to be at the top a lot during the season start then just drop off.

I think the main thing is to get him a league where he will play once a week and a bigger lay of at the end of the season like the A league I guess but in Europe that doesn't really happen. Also he has to be a CB from now on his body just will not handle the work load at RB or DM, CM

So McGowan is in the UK looking for a club (contract ended in China). Coventry (League 1) apparently interested. Quote:“I have had three or four weeks off since my season finished but I’ve been keeping myself ticking over in case something pops up and I’m ready to jump right back into things. I’d like to think I’ve improved while I’ve been away. I’m still only 25 so there are plenty more years in which I can get better again.
“But I don’t think I’d have done my job properly as a professional footballer if I hadn’t kicked on since leaving Hearts. I’ve won another cup in China, I’ve played in a World Cup, I’ve won another seven or eight caps for Australia and I’ve played between 70 and 80 games in
another league.
“I definitely feel I’ve gained a lot of good experience and I’ve come back a stronger player. I’m open to anything. It’s good to be in control of what is happening. I’ll weigh up all my options and make the right decision for me.” http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/ryan-mcgowan-back-and-open-to-offers-1-3654583Quote:COVENTRY City manager Steven Pressley is weighing up a move for the former Hearts defender Ryan McGowan. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/latest/ex-hearts-defender-ryan-mcgowan-on-coventry-radar-1-3657975

Ascroft and Cooper both had their contracts terminated from VVV-Venlo Quote:Meanwhile, also does something in the squad VVV-Venlo. The contracts with the two young Australians Harry Ascroft and Travis Cooper were terminated with immediate effect. Two did not succeed in your time in the Netherlands, the desired breakthrough. This season, both defender and striker Ascroft Cooper were still not used. http://www.rp-online.de/sport/fussball/international/niederlande/vvv-venlo/sieg-zum-abschluss-der-vorbereitung-aid-1.4809268

CFR Cluj's (2nd biggest Romanian side) manager has raged hardcore after a 1-1 friendly draw with the team last in the 3rd division which has left an Aussie on the transfer list. He has reportedly sent back 4 players who were reportedly going to sign on a free transfer and put 4 promoted youth team players on the transfer list after the game. one of the youth team players is Anthony Carter, a 20 year old Aussie striker. Quote:Trica has complained that they were not connected to the match, but the result humiliating and made a decision that shocked the locker room. He decided to give up those who are in evidence and take them out of the junior group called the first team. Thus, Crisan, Ganea, Joao and Tatar, players who expected to sign contracts with CFR will be sent back to where they came from teams if Trica's decision will be embraced and leadership. At the same time, Burca, Pop, Pintea or Carter, players promoted from the youth center will be placed on the transfer list and they will search teams to be borrowed. http://www.prosport.ro/fotbal-intern/liga-1/trica-a-turbat-in-vestiar-dupa-egalul-cu-sanatatea-a-renuntat-la-8-jucatori-13771605

http://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/article/weso-set-for-operation-2215382.aspxAs a Salop fan very sad to see James Wesolowski go down for the rest of the season. :( We're chasing promotion from L2 after being relegated last season and he's been having a great year. Perth Glory tried to sign him before the season but our manager Mellon got in and convinced him to come to us.

Fiorentina and Empoli are meeting this Thursday to close out the loan deal for Brillante with a buy-out clause should Empoli be happy with his services by the end of the season.

Club Brugge have progressed to the semi finals of the Belgian Cup after defeating KV Mechelen 3-2.
Depending on how the Socceroos do, Maty will likely miss the first leg of the semis (28th Jan) but should be able to play the second leg (5th Feb)
