Add Ross County to the list of games I've mentioned that will feature Aussies tonight.

Some more preseason action tonight for our English based lads. I'll have a look for streams later on. I've only had a look for senior listed players. Unsure if any youth/U21 players are playing or training with the senior squads.

Seen a bit of Burns. Looked really lively off the bench, didn't have a lot of support though. The ref was really favouring them home side too. Burns clearly fouled a couple of times but no free kicks.

Perth teen Danny De Silva to make dream debut for AS Roma against Real Madrid at the MCG

DANNY De Silva has been included in Roma’s squad for Saturday night’s glamour clash with Real Madrid, with the 18-year-old on the brink of making a dream debut against Cristiano Ronaldo in front of a huge crowd at the MCG.

The WA teenager will fly to Melbourne on Wednesday to link-up with his new Roma teammates, including 38-year-old legend Francesco Totti. De Silva was told this week he was in the squad and to be ready to play.

The former Perth Glory midfielder will be the only Australian player involved in the three-match International Champions Cup pre-season tournament, which also features Manchester City, and he is likely to take his place on the bench for the Serie A giants.

“To come on against Man City or Real Madrid in my first game for Roma, that would be ridiculous,’’ De Silva said.

“If I get a run, it’s a debut for Roma in Australia. It would be a dream come true really. That would be perfect But even if I don’t, I’m really looking ­forward to the experience.’’

De Silva said it was great to be able to join his Italian club in his home country, but that meeting his superstar teammates would be no less daunting.

“Because of how high-profile the players are, like Totti, I think even if I just met them at the shops it would still be ­pretty daunting and pretty amazing,’’ he said.

“I’m probably equally ­excited and nervous.’’

De Silva was nine when Totti scored the penalty that knocked Guus Hiddink’s Socceroos out of the 2006 World Cup, in the most controversial moment in Australia’s soccer history.

The teenager said meeting and training with the one-club icon, one of the most revered figures in the Italian game, would be a highlight.

“I’ve been thinking about it for a long time,’’ an excited De Silva said.

“Once it happens it will be a great moment for me and ­obviously it will be great to be able to speak to him.’’

It will continue a whirlwind year for De Silva. who turned 18 in March and was called into his first Socceroos squad last month.
