how many were on counter Maclaren, kruse and to a lesser degree leckie are all counter attacking specialists. If we played on the counter a front three like that could tear teams apart but maclaren isnt the guy you want if you are pinning an opposition back dominating possession and trying to find an avenue in tight spaces He's had his shot/s. Wasn't effective for Darmstadt either. He can not create his own shot. How many of those shots did he take more than 2 touches. he is a good shooter and great off the ball he could potentially play at a high level if he found a team that was tactically suited to him but he off course participates little in hold up play and isn't great at take ons so he could find himself on the bench for some modest teams 100% engine and poacher. Quickness is his high 'FIFA Rating' . average-to-high speed, then you'd have shot at about 71 or somesh*t Truth is he's no counter attack specialist either. He ends up poaching em' on the counter too. This where he falls way short overseas. A-League you'd always have some sloppy shit happennings at the back for him to jump on n make something of. Rarely this happens in Euro I think poacher is harsh. His goals are frequently scored when there are players around and in front of him, as I pointed out before they arent exactly tap ins. He is excellent in his movement and creates a lot of opportunities with his running off the ball. With kruse and maclaren you would have two players making dangerous runs in behind lets hope maclaren comes good at hibs. SPL midfields are significantly weaker than a league but the strikers and cbs there are better so its still a step up for him

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Rarely this happens in Euro Euro defenses are a bit more strong and don't let in much. This could end up impacting his confidence also , not having many goal chances/opportunities throughout the duration of a game. Thus, making his game worse. he could potentially play at a high level if he found a team that was tactically suited to him
yeah like Hibs? lol I don't see an up side, will either play sufficiently well or be in limbo

Reports in Australia claim Tom Rogic has rejected new Celtic deal Tom Rogic has rejected the offer of a new contract from Celtic, according to reports in the player’s native Australia. READ MORE - Five things we learned from Zenit 3 - 0 Celtic SBS’ sports hub, The World Game, claims the 25-year-old was underwhelmed with the quality of offer on the table and has been concerned with his playing time this season. Rogic has suffered through his usual injury problems in the 2017/18 campaign, but even when fit he’s not been an automatic first-choice in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI. The player has just 15 months left to run on his current deal, which he signed in the summer of 2016. If they can’t get him signed up to a new term the Parkhead side may have to consider selling the player this coming summer. Tom Rogic will see his current contract expire in 2019. I really dislike these Aussie football player/joker/comedians. I mean, is that what football is? I'd like to think the opposite. Professional idiots Thwaite & McGowan. "look at me, I KNOW I'm a shit football player but my sense of humour is where I'm different to any other players" Wtf are you talking about lol. Let them have a sense of humour.

+xSainsbury with an interview on Facebook. Doing lots of gym work. Won't be playing this weekend I think. World game with a shocker of a headline about Socceroo injury only it being Ryan McGowan. Credit to him for his good performance against Chile. Unfortunately he's been overwhelmed almost every other time and stands out as a poor player. Most fans forget he even exists due to such low quality play. he doesn't seem to care if he's injured.. all looks the same - laying in hospital bed, playing

+x+x+xpeople on here digging it into maclaren while he is down. tall poppy syndrome. he just needs game time. he's a great striker and we should be hoping he gets on the pitch and starts knocking them in. because he can. because he has. he's more like firmino than a typical striker. how many top level teams would firmino fit into as a 9?? there's a good chance that he would be fighting to get in the 11 at most top level clubs. but you put firmino into liverpool under klopp and he is part of one of the most dangerous front 3 since neymar left barca. maclaren needs to play in a team with the front 3 on the front foot. he cannot be lone man in the other half of the pitch. he needs to be in an aggressive attacking team. firmino can finish though and can shoot, trap a ball, turn, hold up players, Maclaren is a tapin expert just like McDonald was.. actually very few of his goals in the a league were tap ins. Around a quarter of his goals in open play were tap ins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK1kiFvHgPkLooks like penalties and tap ins to me.. some of the crosses were on a platter..I could score them. The goal Oar setup defines what kind of player Maclaren is - he's a poacher. That's it. No beautiful hold up play, turn and shoot, nothing from outside the box, never beats a defender.... should I go on? Do we really want to stay ranked 32nd in the world or?
