Deni has played for the Croatia U19s and I remember a year or two ago his allegiance was with Croatia, something has changed though.

+x+x+x+xLet's stay on topic, please. it's bound to go this way in the lead up to an NT game. it always does. Not an excuse TBH. This is the thread for information on and discussion about Aussies Abroad, if anyone wants to compare fantasy Socceroos matchups through time that's great but this isn't the thread to do it. Thanks to everyone in their cooperation in keeping Aussies Abroad the august thread that it is. :) Yeah. but but but Covic 2006 was a better player than Ryan 2014. Hahahahahha. I wonder who he just happened to be playing for then

Did a bit of research on Deni Juric. Looks like SBS sourced his signing from his Instagram. He also uploaded (a couple of months ago) a picture of him training in Socceroos gear.

Huddersfield Town plot recovery route for key midfielder Aaron MooyWritten by Doug Thomson for The Huddersfield Daily Examiner on 31 August, 2016 The midfielder is in the Australian squad for their crucial World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Iraq and the United Arab Emirates Huddersfield Town fitness guru Dr John Iga is in touch with Australian football chiefs in a bid to ensure in-form midfielder Aaron Mooy returns from international duty in the best possible shape. The in-form 25-year-old is in the Socceroos squad for the big World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. The first match takes place in Perth on Thursday (11.30am British time) and the second in Abu Dhabi the following Tuesday (4.30pm British time).
Mooy, who is on loan from Manchester City, will then return ahead of Town’s next Championship game at Leeds United on Saturday week, September 10. The former Melbourne City man has played a key role in Town’ successful start to the season under David Wagner. Two points clear at the top of the table, they will seek a fifth win in game six of the campaign at Elland Road. Iga, Town’s head of performance services, said: “Obviously there’s a lot of travelling involved for Aaaron. “By talking to my counterparts at the Australian national team, we can compare data and work out the best way for Aaron to prepare and recover for the two games. “The aim is to get him back as fresh as he can be.” It’s the start of the third phase of Asian confederation qualification for 2018, with the Socceroos in a group which also includes Japan, Saudi Arabia and Thailand. There are home and away games running through to this time next year. The top two in each of the two groups qualify for the finals. The two third-placed sides will play each other home and away to determine which takes part in an inter-federation play-off against a nation from CONCACAF (North, Central American and Caribbean). http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/huddersfield-town-plot-recovery-route-11819892

+x+xValencia sell Paco to Barca and Mustafi to Arsenal. add in Feghouli and Gomes and what on earth is going on? Think they've lost a few other big players Dont forget Negredo to Middlesborough on loan. Going to be a long season for Ryan. Im pretty confident Valencia will unearth another gem like david silva.. i dont think they are a club who has to buy talent, rather develop it more so.

Deadline day. Nothing on Kruse. Hoping for a miracle that he gets out of that club. Brandt is rumoured for Bayern but I doubt it.

Mangala loaned to Valencia. Might be able to give Ryan less work.

Maybe a Kruse deal will be announced after the deadline. Clubs sometimes take their time. I just can't see Kruse doing this to himself any longer.

Ikon has joined Amini's club AGF of loan. Would have preferred FC Twente or St Pauli but at least he should get game time. http://www.agf.dk/klubben/nyhedsarkiv/2016/august/australsk-landsholdsspiller-paa-plads-i-agf/

Nothing wrong with the move. He is only 21. No point getting loaned somewhere then sitting on the bench. St. Pauli will lose many games and probably be relegated which would hinder his chances of playing.

Valencia have signed Argentina defender Ezequiel Garay from Zenit St Petersburg.
Don't know much about him has been at some big clubs but they needed to bring in some backs hope he can protect Ryan

Was constantly linked to premier league clubs a season or two ago.

Certainly a chance for him to prove himself. He needs plenty of game time anywhere to take his game to the next level. While it seemed great for the youngster to be at Lazio, sitting on an 11 or 12 man bench will do him no favours

So I guess you could say that Aarhaus has kind of become Aarteam...

It could be a reasonable option, apart from being freezing cold.

Aarhaus seems to be struggling after a good start, so he'll get his opportunities no doubt.
Would have rather seen him in a German setup, however the Danish league will still be a good stepping stone.

you would have to think Kruse isn't going anywhere, he would surely need to have a medical somewhere to complete the deal and hes on the other side of the world..did he even want to move? if he did, he would have stayed in Europe....
pretty disappointing move from Ikon, if he doesn't dominate you would have to say that goodwin may be ahead of him in the pecking order.

I'd already have Goodwin ahead of him in the pecking order, but in a few years it'll probably be a difference scenario once he develops more. The initial capping was always for the future and to tie him down, away from Greece who were hovering.

EDIT: And they are different positions, you can't really compare the two. Amini isn't called up as we have a lot of central midfielders where on the wings we are a bit thin.
