+x+x+x+x+x+x+xJones with an immense 8.6 rating on Whoscored for his 6 saves. He seems to have found his feet in the Netherlands! So who do you have as keeper for the NT? Langerak is in the mix for promotion to the Bundi. Jones primed to win the league in the Netherlands. Ryan getting maybe a minute in cup game or two for a relegation threatened La Liga side? Which is still a higher level than the aforementioned... Baaaaahahahahaha alright mate. Keen to see Ryan getting a runabout tonight then to see how much progress he has made. Oh wait. Not in squad. You dont think La liga is a higher level Bundesliga 2 and %90 percent of the dutch league ? Why even bother making the comparison in the first place when he isn't a regular in the first place? Hes injured you nonce oh whoops. well then that'll increase his chances. Another knee injury according to soccerway.

Langerak is in the mix for promotion to the Bundi. Jones primed to win the league in the Netherlands. Ryan getting maybe a minute in cup game or two for a relegation threatened La Liga side? It's a tough one. Jones is doing well but at 34 I don't think he should be ahead of Ryan or Langers. I'd rather he enjoys the twilight of his career at his club side and we have faith in the other two as our long-term keepers. I still think Ryan is our best keeper but Langerak should be given a few games if he keeps up the consistent game time. Celtic were pegged back to 1-1 and should've conceded a penalty after an error by McGregor. Sinclair puts them back up to 2-1 though, what a player he is. Celtic's central defenders and GK don't look up to much but their forwards are very talented. Whoever is playing minutes at a high level should be our No1,,,jones deserves it as much as I like Ryan Frankly, I respectfully disagree. It comes down to the individual aspects of the games of the respective goalkeepers. Where they play their club football will shed light on those strengths and weaknesses and, hopefully, give them form. But if one of them is an excellent shot-stopper but not playing in the best league, while another is getting lots of matches in a superior league but is not good at keeping the ball out of the net, then you just pick the one who's better. Of course, different story if they're all as good as each other in that area but one is playing at a higher level. Then other considerations like distribution come into it, given Angeball. But they mustn't be weighted too heavily in such consideration. The first job of the goalkeeper (especially given Australia's situation) is to make very difficult saves.

+xAnd yet when Langerak was getting a minute or two for Dortmund, the idea that it's a far higher level than the Belgian League did not make such a compelling argument, apparently. Are you addressing my comments specifically? I don't recall them. Let's talk about the here and now though.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xTo be completely honest, I think the HAL is better than the dutch league. It's way better has been for years. The Dutch league is trash. lets see an a-league team beat man u in a competitive match how will a A-League team play a competitive match vs Man Utd ? Club world cup. Until then Eurosnobs will never take the league seriously. Take seriously or give it more credit? I think people (Eurosnobs or otherwise) will give it more credit when there's not a dearth of talented young strikers in the league. When defenders aren't quite so incompetent in their, ummm, defending. Basically, when the quality of the competition improves and we see products being sought after by top clubs in Europe (especially for attacking positions). For that to happen, there need to be quality attacking footballers being produced by the league. This hasn't happened. If anything, we've gone backwards in this respect (although forwards in other respects). Correct. For an example of the dearth of talent coming through check out tonight's under 19's result just gone. Thailand 5 - Australia 1. Blimey. Not to mention the match the night before in the U16s. Australia 1-2 Kyrgyzstan :ermm: The same squad that beat Argentina and drew Mexico at the world cup ? all about perspective i guess LOL it isnt the same side

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
