+x+xJones with an immense 8.6 rating on Whoscored for his 6 saves. He seems to have found his feet in the Netherlands! So who do you have as keeper for the NT? Langerak is in the mix for promotion to the Bundi. Jones primed to win the league in the Netherlands. Ryan getting maybe a minute in cup game or two for a relegation threatened La Liga side? Which is still a higher level than the aforementioned...

And yet when Langerak was getting a minute or two for Dortmund, the idea that it's a far higher level than the Belgian League did not make such a compelling argument, apparently.

Langerak is in the mix for promotion to the Bundi. Jones primed to win the league in the Netherlands. Ryan getting maybe a minute in cup game or two for a relegation threatened La Liga side? It's a tough one. Jones is doing well but at 34 I don't think he should be ahead of Ryan or Langers. I'd rather he enjoys the twilight of his career at his club side and we have faith in the other two as our long-term keepers. I still think Ryan is our best keeper but Langerak should be given a few games if he keeps up the consistent game time. Celtic were pegged back to 1-1 and should've conceded a penalty after an error by McGregor. Sinclair puts them back up to 2-1 though, what a player he is. Celtic's central defenders and GK don't look up to much but their forwards are very talented. Whoever is playing minutes at a high level should be our No1,,,jones deserves it as much as I like Ryan Frankly, I respectfully disagree. It comes down to the individual aspects of the games of the respective goalkeepers. Where they play their club football will shed light on those strengths and weaknesses and, hopefully, give them form. But if one of them is an excellent shot-stopper but not playing in the best league, while another is getting lots of matches in a superior league but is not good at keeping the ball out of the net, then you just pick the one who's better. Of course, different story if they're all as good as each other in that area but one is playing at a higher level. Then other considerations like distribution come into it, given Angeball. But they mustn't be weighted too heavily in such consideration. The first job of the goalkeeper (especially given Australia's situation) is to make very difficult saves.

2-2 draw for Rogic who was on the bench for the second goal. Athletic Club beat Valencia 2-1. Valencia are rock bottom with 4 defeats from 4 games.

I don't recall exactly what your stance on that issue was, in any event. I'm addressing the general sentiment which was popular at the time. Rightly or wrongly.

Jones' last second save to secure the three points: http://streamable.com/lygqWas linked to /r/soccer at this thread. Getting some nice praise in the thread, he seems to be well liked in the Netherlands and well remembered by Liverpool fans.

+xThey should win big, Start haven't won all season! Yep, it's top of the table vs bottom. Pretty good that Gersbach is starting regularly for Norway's biggest club at 19, too. Great potential!

25 minutes to play in the Rosenborg game, they're up 1-0. Gersbach has been pretty involved, getting up and down the left wing nicely. As expected Rosenborg are controlling the game with Start sitting deep and playing on the counter. Rosenborg have made all three subs so Gersbach should see out the 90.

FT Rosenborg 2 - 0 Start. Gersbach did fairly well, had a few forays forward and his passing and control were good. He had a shot on target from outside the area that the keeper parried away right before the full-time whistle.
His team are almost certain to win the title, they're now 18 points ahead of 2nd placed Brann and 3rd placed Odd who both have 6 matches remaining, with a goal difference of +38 compared to Brann's +12 and Odd's +8. One more point will seal it!
