Not sure where to ask this but this being my favorite thread i am hoping you guys can help.
Sorry if it is off topic.
I will be leaving for Europe and the Middle East on holidays next Monday for a month just before the A League starts and will also the 2 Socceroos wcq im October. I want to be able to watch, probably on my phone or Tablet, the 2 big derbys (Sydney and Melbourne) without having to rely on illegal streams or catch it on one the tv stations. What is my best bet? I have heard about a AFC yearly pass for the A league? Im sure the Socceroos matches would be on there also.
Any help would be appreciated.

On talk sport they were talking about how Scottish premiership was at League One level. Again the English can be worse than the americans at stroking their own horn. He is probably right though. Its not the English premiership. However I don't see Fleetwood town taking on Barcelona or Manchester city in the UEFA Champions league.

Anyway, are any of those matches broadcast by SBS? If so, presumably, they are streamed via the SBS website legally. If not, do Foxtel also telecast their A-League matches online? Are you a Foxtel customer? If the answer to both those question is yes... Get a VPN. You can make the system think you're accessing the internet from Australia. From there, you can stream things as you would if you were in Australia.

But you can have a month money-back trial (ideally, while you're travelling) and play it by ear. Also, there are less dear VPNs. In any event, it's (supposedly) a means of securing your internet banking against hacking and torrenting TV shows. You can also access US Netflix, UK Netflix from Australia with a VPN. That seems to be the main reason that people have them.

Its not the English premiership. However I don't see Fleetwood town taking on Barcelona or Manchester city in the UEFA Champions league. barcelona and man city are not in the spl. its a fair rating. it would be good if rodgers grew some balls and played an attacking line up against man city and gave rogic a run. the more opportunity rogic gets against big teams the sooner he is gone. rogic is inconsistent. but when he fires i think he will own any team in the world. but for that to happen he needs enough games to do it. 3 UCL games will be enough for him to tear one of them a new arsehole. rodgers just needs to play him.

Sad day for Aussies Abroad, with the venerable Martin Kruse AKA @Germanroo107 has hung up his keyboard after 4 years of his superhuman contribution to the community in his Aussies Abroad updates. Seriously cannot name someone who has contributed more to Australian football conversation, remunerated or not.
Hopefully someone picks up the torch!

+x+x+x+x+x+x+xClean sheet for Brad Jones in his full match and 5-0 win over Roda. What a season he's having. DDS unused sub. Armenekas not getting off the pine as anticipated in Udinise's 1-0 loss to Sassuolo, but hopefully a sign of bigger things to come for the 18 year old. Dougall playing the last half for Sparta Rotterdam and Goodwin playing the last half hour in their 2-0 loss to Utrecht. Mauk unused sub. Ryan still out. McGrath and Mabil on at half time in a 3-0 loss in Denmark. Full game for Behich in a 1-0 Turkish league win. Full game for Beadling for Sunderland U23's 3-0 loss to Liverpool. Full games for Jovanovic, Sainsbury and Spiranovic in China with a win for the latter against Sainz. Goal for Giannou as reported. McGowan unused sub. Celeski the only Aussie in Japan getting minutes this week, coming on in 81st minute while Burns rode the pine again, as did Velaphi, and Duke was not in the squad. Full games and a 0-0 draw for Mrcela and Leijer against each other in Korea while Djite wasn't named. Full match in a loss in Uruguay for Porta. I was a fan of Armenekas before he became a Socceroos legend. I'm crossing Ikonomidis off my "I was a fan of.." t-shirt, and replacing it with Aremakas... Or maybe Piscopo? (hope they work out better than my "I was a fan of Kaz Patafta before..." version) I am continually and consistently amazed and perplexed that people click on a thread titled "The Aussies Abroad Thread" and then get all upset when they see therein news and discussion about Aussie football players who play abroad. Am I missing something? Am I in the wrong somehow? People are weird. What makes you think I'm upset? Any evidence for that? I was having a chuckle. For what it's worth, seeing as irony doesn't play well on the internet, I'm rapt to see Armenakas and Piscopo come on. Lighten up, chuckles... In that case I am happy you are happy. I am as lightened up as can be; I am drunk, in Barcelona, and still in my 20s. It's currently 3:50am on the last night of the La Merce festival here. :) Sadly enough, there actually are people who fit the description in my above post that really do come here and derail quality discussion quite often, but fortunately they are a vocal minority, so I apologise for misinterpreting your ironic joke as a post from those idiots. If only some of the people that value reading the Aussies Abroad Thread made accounts and/or posted more often to defend it! 3.50am in Barca and you're coming onto the AA Thread, that is commitment, well done sir. Haha I'm trying to limit my forum activity to first thing and last thing each day during my vacation. Went to Barcelona v Atletico Madrid, good game, 1-1, and I've been telling everyone here that now Victory is > Barca as we beat Atletico 1-0 a few weeks back!

Surely regular first-team football in the A-League is better than this. I guess the good thing for Deng is this isn't permanent - one year loan with the option to buy. Provided PSV don't exercise that option, he'll come back with hopefully some good experiences from his time in Holland. Agreed that first team football is the ideal, but in this instance this is not the worst move that an Aussie has made overseas before.

Give him 12 months first and if no progress then maybe we get him back.

He's only been there for eight weeks, and he has indeed had some minutes. Rome wasn't built in a day. He's 19 years old and at one of the best talent factories on the planet, and even if it doesn't work out he's still locked in for two further seasons at #product central, but I doubt PSV signed him just to show him the windmills. As TSF said, far, far from the worst move to Europe an Aussie has made. We can chill on this one and give him some time IMO.
