?  there's plenty of good players in the a -league.  maybe not in creative forward positions because we hand that out to mediocre foreign imports instead of developing our own talent.

His performance against Jordan was great. I've been annoyed at all the players who just seemed so lethargic in the last few games. Trotting along like they don't care vs someone else being given and chance and really showing intent on getting victory.  The latter should always be preferred.

Does anyone else feel Sainsbury has a really disinterested body language? I've never seen him sprint I think. The Japanese goal and the casualness in Bangkok was very frustrating to see from apparently our best defender.

All in all a lot of players are on notice. Ange won't do it but if we have a couple of A-League players who'll really have  a dig and get us over the line I'm all for it.

i did notice his work rate improved dramatically in holland.  it was as if he was playing competitively and had to earn his spot...

i have not seen sainsbury improve since he left holland.  maybe a little more confident but also a lot slower to react.  his positioning at ccm was sensational.  he was reading the game well for someone his age.  i dont get that watching him play at the moment.

This topic (Welsh or Aussie) seems to spark debate, but Gethin Jones has signed for Barnsley on a short term loan deal. good news either way!

Williams was impressive against Fulham with a real drive forward. He hadn't exactly played much in recent times so I guess he can be forgiven for turnovers in the middle. I was so fixed on him that maybe his teammates weren't running into space.

As for Jones, monitor his development and at least Ange appears to have touched base.

That makes me very happy. A young RB playing regularly in the Championship is just what we need.

it would be a big coup really. news is that gethin has a decent future ahead of him.  21 years old.  no reason he shouldnt be able to play in the NT at his age.  and we need decent RB options.  we need a RB option.

Barnsley are really up against it now. Looks like they're going to lose both starting centre halves and their top scorer has already gone. Could mean plenty of game time for both of them

Does anyone know how this will work with the salary cap if he tried to come back to Victory? While biased I think it would be kinda harsh on the club and very harsh on the player if the FFA says he can't play.

Has Panos had much time training and/or playing with the senior squad. I know Ikon had a few friendlies and was training with the men before his call up. 

Really unfortunate for Deng. Thought he looked very talented. 

Even if Victory could fit him in the cap, he'd have a lot of competition. Baro, Ansell, Donachie and Broxham means they dont really need him. 

He made his senior team debut in a friendly last year and has trained with the senior squad on numerous occasions.

Ikon was definitely banging them away in the Primavera aged 18, and was playing friendlies with the senior side at that time, which I don't think Armenekas has done yet, but sadly he's taking a little longer realising his potential. Plenty of time for both yet, of course.
