As a side note that is obviously radio commentary with tv footage. I was wondering how do you guys compare some of the A League radio commentary compared to places like the UK?

people underrate some of the australian commentary.. some of the english commentators are painfully stiff and their understanding of the game seems really dated.  saying that there are a lot of amazing english commentators.

not sure which one is curtis good to be honest. No howlers, possibly some weak aerial duels though but hard to tell since I don't know which one he is

It'll happen by the end of the window but why is Ryan taking so long to get a move sorted?

It could be Valencia, waiting to see what teams are biting and will pick the best one near the end of the window.

Behich and Langerak starting. Davidson bench. Still no Rogic but he's training and it'll be a quality return instead of being somewhat still injured.

he should have well and truly overcome his injury. Unless his wife was too rough on their honeymoon. He's probably getting punished/reconditioned after having time off for the nuptials.

Smh Why does a championship team lose to a league 2 side?
First thought comes to mind is because they have to play league games but so does Oxford

Lincoln beat Brighton and Wycombe were much better than Spurs. I suppose they have that extra drive against big sides and they're all pros after all. Sometimes the difference isn't all that much.

any news on stefan mauk?  he killed it with adelaide and then struggled to get into nec. still only 21.   anyone heard about potential suitors for this loan?

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2017/01/18/its-dutch-and-go-mauk-line-loan-move

Apparently we (Central Coast Mariners) are gunning pretty hard to get him on loan.

Adelaide or Newcastle would be a better place?
NEC wasnt a good choice, he rushed going abroad

He was in great form. NEC were really poor in the game I saw against Hannover and I was surprised he didn't really get a chance in a match. I guess it's more he's not impressing enough in training.
CCM would be fine for now.

Basically assured to play every minute if he does come to us considering we have no real number 10 and are crying out for one.

I can't see where the match was mentioned but Irvine came back for a full 90 in a win over QPR featuring Luongo. A '5 things we learnt' article from the Burton Mail had this to say on Irvine.

IRVINE'S BACK

John Potts
image: http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/images/localworld/ugc-images/276452/binaries/Jackson%20Irvine%20QPR%20JP.JPGJackson Irvine was everywhere for the Brewers
It is hard to fully register the impact that Jackson Irvine has on this Burton Albion team.Returning as captain at the head of the midfield after missing their last three games, the Australian international's presence was immediately noticeable.Irvine kept the pace high in defence and attack. For the second time this season, he had more of an impact on the game than international teammate Massimo Luongo - QPR seemed wary of how he could affect play.It is no coincidence that Albion's best attacking performance of the year came with Irvine back in the side and back to his best.Brewers fans will now be desperately checking the calendar and wishing for February 1 to come around.

that's a huge win for burton!  and a big wrap for irvine.  qpr have been hitting their strides since halloway took over and have pulled away from relegation.  not a light weight win.

Deng is apparently back in Australia because of family issues. I can't tell exactly what happened but it seems like a family member died. The only thing I can find on it is that a teammates goal celebration was a tribute for him.
