+x+x+x+xBig loss for Matt Ryan today, coughing up a 28-3 lead to lose in extra time as Quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl. ?? is he Aussie? other than that, absolutely zero interest. I think you didn't get the joke. :)

Langerak keeps a clean sheet, Stuttgart top (for the first time this season?) by three points.

+xLol jas88If HAL was played in winter,I doubt there would be much difference in intensity.SFC for example would be even more formidable. There is absolutley no way Leeds for example would be running all afternoon at Suncorp in summer.Players in the championship are payed a lot more than HAL players, play a lot more games and a lot end up in the epl.But its a real struggle to see quality that differentiates championship from HAL.A lot comes down to strength ,toughness and conditioning that suits the cold weather .All attributes that Australians excel at given the opportunity. you could take any one of the 11 from either leeds of hudders the other day and put them in the HAL and they would probably be the best in their position in the HAL. its that simple.

I can see where you are coming from, but if you put both matches side by side, the amount of time and space you get in the a-league is phenomenal. I remember watching Adelaide a few weeks ago, they looked like a sunday league team there was that much space on the field.

Inala brah, based on salaries earned,,what you say must be correct. It's a pity their performances don't match their alleged superiority.

The technical abilities and speed of decision making is far superior in the Championship in general. Yes they can affrod to play faster due to climate but in any case most HAL players take far too many touches before deciding what to do with the ball. Shoot, pass, dribble etc

Along with the amount of time players in the A-League are given whilst on the ball is almost criminal. That being said, it is something that is slowly improving with each passing season.

First touch is a noticeable difference and is crossing and wingers getting past their man. The HAL is getting there and the competition being young and expansion in the wings, things can only get better.

havent seen tomi's little brother Deni Juric mentioned on here. but if he is as good as his brother and can avoid injury he could have quite a career ahead of him. "The 19-year-old Hajduk Split forward, signed by the iconic Croatian club last August, has been on fire for the second team... with 10 goals in 14 appearances for the reserves " http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2017/01/08/brotherly-advice-has-deni-juric-primed-deliver?cid=inbody:exclusive-juric-reveals-why-he-turned-down-championship-move

Il Kangaroo, Inter Milan's new signing There has been a large influx of player's signing for Chinese clubs from European leagues in recent years. But Australian international Trent Sainsbury has moved in the opposite direction. Sainsbury has signed for Inter Milan on loan from Jiangsu Suning for the remainder of the season. Trent's father Scott says the move is absolutely brilliant for his career. Hear the full interview on the BBC World Football podcast (Photo: Trent Sainsbury clapping, Credit: Getty Images) Release date: 8 February 2017 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04s8zpr

This was a catch up game so Ryan and other players were not allowed to play because the game was scheduled before the transfer window.

TBF they are light on in defence.

BR on : "Tom will be out probably for the next few months. BR: "He [Rogic] had to have an operation on his ankle. Unfortunate as it came at the end of training at the same spot he had it before." BR: "His [Rogic] foot stuck in the ground and twisted. It was either to go through the same procedures as before or an operation." BR: "So went to London and had an operation. He's on his way to recovery now and will be back for the end of the season." wtf awesoOoOOme http://www.celticfc.net/news/12064

Really bad news to wake up to, he's had a breakthrough season and now his season looks close to being over.
We have enough depth in the midfield area but tommy is a big loss.

Neymar Burns and Milos Degenek went around in preseason game between FC and Marinos which Tokyo won 4-2 yesterday. Burns played 78', according to FC not sure how long Milos played for but photos of him in action appeared smartly.

Rogic, Williams, Kruse. So annoying how so many keep getting hurt and play their first tournament at a much older age.
Jedinak won't be dropped. It hope to see Mooy and Luongo just ahead of Jedinak and 3 across the front.
