+x+xMooy with a deflected ball in that wins the derby against Leeds, Wagner running across the field to celebrate with the players lol any chance mooy will get the assist for that? Mooy wanted the earlier spot kick as well, but was bumsmacked Wells wanted it instead. Love his hunger old Mooy. What a legend

+xBoth coaches sent off. Incredible scenes. Monk changes direction and shoulders Wagner as far as i could see. Incredible scenes at the end. Mooy his usual mopping up everything and being everywhere self.

Awesome Huddersfield. Juric came on at the end. It ended 4:4 after Luzern lead 4:2 late into the game.

Sainsbury not in squad. Inter playing their 3 best centre backs in 3-4-3.

Haven't heard about Goodwin for a while.
He was getting a run of starts a while ago, but looks to have moved back to the bench.

hudders only 7 points off top spot now, so if Mooy takes the up, just wondering who was the last aussie to win promotion to the EPL?
Cahill or Neill?

Not many players I'd pay to watch but mooy is incredible on the ball. I thought he'd struggle there but he is just brilliant. Will be playing at one of the big four leagues no doubt next season. Could see him doing well in Italy.

What a legend the look on mooys face was identical to the look he would have when fornaroli would try and take the free kick off him. except fornaroli can actually hit free kicks. it was nice to see him so far forward in the last 30 of the game. pressing for the points. im a little bit surprised that his assist and goal count is so low for the season so far.

Huge game for Mooy and Luongo next week as they face off. If QPR lose, they will be in the relegation zone, if Hudders win they go 3 points off an auto spot, depending on Brighton of course who aren't playing well.

And it looks as though Huddersfield have a game in hand over both Leeds who are behind them and Reading who are in third above them.

Then Reading play Brighton on the 25th, so shall be interesting to see if a gap develops. Maybe Hudders can sneak up to a top 2 place.

Mooy kinda snapped, haha the expression when Wells goes like "Yerp yeah , I know what to do I'll take it "... Mooy actually fucking spat a huge obvious dummy /stomped on the ground an I think he actually said fuck hahaha

So far they have actually looked to have the goods on all the teams, creating many goal scoring opportunities. But they just fail to capitalise ... just like last night game. Kachunga is sick, I imagine he's destined for greater things if they get promoted. Kind of a Leckie style player, pops up and does something positive all game. Here's hoping Mooy continues to forge himself a nice little career in England

After watching the Huddersfield game,I struggle to see a significant difference between the standard of this game and a lot of HAL games. The Championship has intensity throughout the game, but it really seems to be a function of temperature. I don't see any huge skill difference. In fact I see more headless chook action. Mooy was a class above most of the players and was able to generally hold the ball and pass under pressure and pick the best option. In the first half he struggled to receive the ball,as team mates were incapable of controlling the ball under pressure. But in the second half as the game got closer to the end ,he was key to creating opportunities. There were a lot of dumb options taken by players and easy turnovers. The pressing was not well coordinated either. Leeds for a top team ,apart from having intensity and a pressing game, didn't seem to have any clear plan to get to goal, other than on the counter, when they frequently took dumb options.

The players are generally better decision makers, better thinkers. A lot of it is in the head rather than at the feet. the skill and physical capacity of the players was miles above the a-league. the main issue is the amount of positional play. defenders tend to boot a ball straight out rather than work it along the deck. this means sending a ball deeper into opposition territory is pretty much rewarded every time with a throw in. i didnt rate mooys performance as highly as some others seems to have. he mostly provided a pivot point for a safe pass. there were only a couple plays were he actually looked like doing anything threatening. and he was much slower than most of the other players. he was also very flat footed when after passing the ball. did not move much. he did position himself well when looking for a ball and did offer a very safe option to help stabilise the team. his defence was excellent. must have had 4 or 5 clean ball winning tackles. to me he looked much better when moved up the pitch and played an attacking role. although he does a decent job, he is wasted as a defensive midfielder.

In the championship you about 3 seconds before an english two footed "who are you ya?" tackle comes along and ends your season.

If City want to loan out Mooy again next year, where would you like to see him play?
I think he could do well in the Bundesliga.

I think he could do well in the Bundesliga. i think they will cash in on him straight away. it would be smart. sounds like hudders are going to put a bid forward for him if they get promoted. if they can keep david wagner it would be a very good move for mooy. wagner is going places.

Lol jas88 If HAL was played in winter,I doubt there would be much difference in intensity. SFC for example would be even more formidable. There is absolutley no way Leeds for example would be running all afternoon at Suncorp in summer. Players in the championship are payed a lot more than HAL players, play a lot more games and a lot end up in the epl.But its a real struggle to see quality that differentiates championship from HAL.A lot comes down to strength ,toughness and conditioning that suits the cold weather .All attributes that Australians excel at given the opportunity.
