Mate, comiserations !

We would have liked coming out to watch BUT FNSW imposing spectator restrictions to all GF's is a joke ! when we know NRL will allow 40k people and that stoopid afl game probably similar.
What a farce FNSW is.
Watched some games on npl.tv thankfully.

Thank you! It was a great game but there's more to come out of it.

yep, crying shame we keep paying and get mediocrity....and carry on due to our passions be it player/coach/spectators.
Elsewhere you lose your job if being performance based and or present improved changes that need actioned.

I thought it was bad allowing St George City to play at non complying venues all season, but to allow a semi to be played at a venue with virtually no fans is certainly eye raising. In the past, semis have had to be played on synthetic or quality stadium grass pitches, I guess that doesn’t matter anymore either. It’s meant to be the premier comp in NSW...

United V Rockdale in the Grand Final.

Two of the best backed clubs in the league in terms of support, could of been a final for the ages, however with the COVID restrictions, i doubt there will be more than 2k

We’ll be lucky to get that. What’s the reduced capacity at Marconi these days? If FNSW apply the same 25% as the semis and allocate tickets to 20s & 1st grade, gonna leave a lot of unhappy loyal fans...

marconi is 9k capacity max. only half the stadium is seated.

going to be a nightmare getting tickets, and like you said a lot of unhappy fans.

Would be a great final to attend, Surely somewhere where a crowd of 8-10 thousand can attend could be achieved. Oki Jubille/Penrith or  Belmore stadium would be big enough to accomodate the majority of people keen to attend  and have held finals/FFA cup games with similar crowds, BankWest would be perfect but cost might be an issue. At the end of the day FNSW look lazy and have put it in the too hard basket again.

no doubt if it was a regular season, it had the potential of being a crowd of 8-10k plus.

If what I've seen is right - it's going to be great to have 'Northbridge' back and the 'Mariners' partnership done. No reason for it - ended up almost being a burden on the club at the end of it all.

I heard Northbridge were paying CCM $100k a year to have the Mariners brand. Big waste of money if true.

oh now you you say that.
I'm sure alot thought it was a great badge of honour and the prices asked for YL etc was OTT And having more than 1 team same age playing in local NSFA comp but paying the same as if playing in the YL comp.
Thats the last I knew.
I thought that stunk.
I agree though, at least your going back to your proper origins.
Hope your sorting out your top brass.

$100k, well look the amount of north shorie Mums who liked to big note my boy/girl is with NSM are plenty - would have made that $100k pa I expect.

Would love to have seen how many people rocked up without restrictions.
The atmosphere looked great on the stream regardless of the rain. If that was only 2k people that sounded pretty awesome.

What about some of the goals and general play though! I thought it started off very scrappy as is standard in a GF with tensions high.
But how good is Glen Trifiro! just looked up, he's only 31 so still has plenty to offer Sydney United, or elsewhere.

Some of the youngsters Casella, Ahmed and Khoury I thought were all very impressive as was Petratos' panenka pen, some confidence!

Just so good to see some pure passion in OZ football. Hope to see more crowds like this with restrictions easing next season. Even if NPL clubs can get 1k to a game it adds a lot to the product.

Only 1,000 fans in the end, 500 either side. The only 2 clubs in nsw with active “active support”. Probably contributed to the restrictions Placed by FNSW as well.

Great game, would’ve enjoyed it more with a Rockdale win in the end, but wasn’t to be...

We are back, some signings have been made for 2021. Disappointing we missed out after the covid break, the club has a bit of egg on its face after the other 6-7 clubs pulled out of negotiations with FNSW, we should’ve done the same when the bigger clubs did.

It’ll be good to have Sutherland back. Hopefully you guys can pull off a few good signings and promote some identified youth into the first team. The competition is better when Sutherland are competitive. You guys seem to have a good track record with youth development.

The Board of Football NSW has declared the successful applicants for its 2021 Outdoor Competitions.  These include the Men’s, Women’s, Boys’ and Girls’ leagues that will be conducted by Football NSW in the 2021 season.

At its meeting on 27 October 2020, the Board of Football NSW considered all applications submitted by Clubs seek to participate in the 2021 season.

Football NSW can confirm that, in relation to its Men’s, Youth & Association Youth League Competitions, all of the incumbent Clubs were successful and, therefore, no new applicants were considered.

In recognition of the Women’s Competition Review that has recently commenced, the Women’s NPL and Girls’ Conference League Competition structures are to remain as per the 2020 season. With the exception of Western NSW FC, all incumbent NPL Women’s Clubs applied for the 2021 Competitions and were successful. Western NSW FC have moved from the NPL 2 NSW Women’s Competition into the Girls’ Conference League Competition for the 2021 season. Although this move creates a vacancy in the NPL 2 Women’s Competition for the 2021 season, Football NSW took the view that, in light of the ongoing Women’s Competition Review and the fact that Review may propose changes for the 2022 season and beyond, it was not appropriate to add any Clubs.

The 2021 SAP remains as per the 2020 Competitions structures. All 42 incumbent SAP Clubs applied for the 2021 Competitions and were successful, as such, no new applicants were considered.

The 2021 Girls’ SAP remains as per the 2020 Competitions structures. All 24 incumbent Girls’ SAP Clubs applied for the 2021 Competitions and were successful, as such, no new applicants were considered.

So above link confirms, bottom 2 relegated, PL2/3 top 2 promoted.
