+xAPIA sack their coach after 3 Rounds. Not the best start from APIA however I feel Calleja was very hard done by, especially after the last couple of years results. Will be interesting to see how APIA come out this weekend against us, usually not a great time to play a team who’s just had a replacement of coach 😅

Rumours are there’s a bit of unrest in the Mount Druitt camp as well, a few players not happy with the amount of money some of the bigger names are getting. I am drawing a few comparisons to the Spartans in the early 2010’s.

Yeah you’re right, a bit far to compare to Spartans and Mt Druitt aren’t affiliated with grassroots as far as I know. More than likely a few big names have been bought in and getting them to gel could be an issue with pressure on getting results. Versi was released but I think you’re talking of another “big name”, I could tell from his body language on Saturday he wasn’t happy with being left out of the starting 11. We will see.

+xwhat's going on with Fraser Park? Gone? Business as usual. We are playing. The Clean Sheet needs to do some proper research.

I know at SPCC, they used to hire the outdoor area for events/festivals which has not happened since Covid.

a real shame this great ol Club has its challenges but which don't to a degree - more so due to the previous directors (now moved on obviously) pre/during syn pitch build but thats water under the bridge but there's always the outfall that follows and covid coming along is another huge spanner in the works. Hope things pick up for the better in the big picture, it needs some more finishing off and location is great. The Madeira Club up the road is another good Portugese outlet but separate to the football club.

Heard some commentary on NPL TV which said that the NPL1 game between Mt Druitt and Sydney FC was played at Wanderers Football Park. And on the Football NSW website, it was shown as being played there. The commentary said it was played on the Synthetic Pitch by Eric Subijano

4-1 win over blacktown, we were very clinical with our chances and took them well. that's 4 from 4 for our boys, but it will be a tough test against Marconi this weekend. good to see our drainage and new synthetic pitch took the rain well, you couldn't even notice it was raining for days.

As we know the rainall has played havoc on all the last week or so, more so at the foot of the mountains. Anyone seen the playing fields @ Bensons Lane re the Hawksfc grounds..... https://www.facebook.com/HawkesburyCityFC/I only saw them last night, can't believe the water level is near on covering the main grand stand. Hope all living around those areas are ok.

yer good luck with that, that main ground has always been soft under the foot in normal seasonal weather can't imagine how long it will take to dry out some. Hey what happened R2, have Rage improved.

northbridge and marconi seemed to play out an entertaining 3-3 draw last night. northbridge had a player sent off in the 12th minute as well.

4-1 win for us, great to get our first win, Mt Druitt opened the scoring after a long ball over the top caught us sleeping, we were lucky to win a pen, quite soft really. They then went down to 10 men which we then went on to win quite comfortably. James Andrew was fantastic for us as was Lindsay who is improving every week.
We move onto our catch up game at APIA on Wednesday followed by Blacktown on Saturday.
Marconi beating United was a bit of a surprise yesterday, Northbridge have proved me wrong, another good display from them as they have been hanging in on games just not finishing it off. Manly also doing better than I expected with another win over APIA. Blacktown 4-1 over Rockdale a bit unexpected also.
Looks like another season where any team on their day can knock over anyone. Great entertainment all round, very hard to pick who will make the top 5 at the end of the year.

unpredictable season, good to see for once, everyone grabbing results, except for APIA lol. We just didnt turn up yesterday, Perkatis injury before the game was a massive blow, and trifiro getting subbed off in the first half from knee to the back of the head by that grub millgrate. Marconi was the better side, and fully deserved the win.
